To configure a patron discharge certificate, I have logged in as a Superlibrarian. |
| Koha homepage
Click on Koha administration |
On the Koha homepage click on the Koha administration module. |

Click on System preferences |
The Koha administration page opens.
Click on System preferences. |

Scroll down From left side menu, click on the Patrons |

Scroll down. From the left side menu, click on the Patrons option. |

Under the section General, we can see two columns. One is Preference and another one is Value. Now scroll down and locate the useDischarge preference. From the drop down change the value to Allow. Next click on the Save all Patrons preferences button at the top. |

| Click on Home icon

Let us scroll up and go to the top left corner of the page.
Click on the Home icon. This will bring us back to the Koha homepage. |
| On the Koha staff interface, click on Tools module | To customize the patron discharge certificate click on the Tools module. |

| Patrons and circulation section click on Notices and slips | Under the Patrons and circulation section, click on Notices and slips. |

Notices and slips page opens.
In the Search bar, type Discharge. It will show the following result.

The Modify notice page opens with some predetermined fields.
Here we can see that Koha has auto-filled the Name field. So we will keep it as it is. You can change the name as per your requirement. |

Next, click on the Email section to expand the email field.
Now scroll down to the Message subject field. Here we can see that Koha has auto-filled the Message subject. So we will keep it as it is. You can change it as per your requirement. |
In the Message body field: Library No Dues/ Clearance CertificateThis is to certify that <<title>> <<borrowers.firstname>> <<borrowers.surname>>, bearing library membership card <<borrowers.cardnumber>>, Staff/Student of <<sort1>> Department has returned all documents borrowed from the library. He/she owes no dues to the Library. <img src=" Your OPAC URL/signature.jpg" width="75" height="50"> Librarian<<branches.branchname>> |
To the right side of the Message body field we can see a textbox.
Delete the existing content. Now pause the video and write an email as shown here. |

Print, SMS and Format. |
As we scroll down the page, we can see options like Print, SMS, and Format. |

This will bring us back to the Notices and slips page. |
