To Set Z39 point 5 0 server, I have logged in as a Superlibrarian.
Click on the Koha administration module

Scroll down to Additional parameters.

Click on Z39.50/SRU servers

On the Koha staff interface click on the Koha administration module.

Koha administration page opens.

Scroll down the page and locate Additional parameters.

Click on Z39 point 5 0/SRU servers.

Here we can see two tabs:
  • Add New Z39 point 5 0 server and

Let’s begin.

Leave the field Anywhere as it is.

For Name, we will type Library of Congress.

This is because it is one of the biggest libraries.

Also it has a large bibliographical data.

Cursor on Country from the dropdown select United States For the Country field, from the dropdown select United States.
Cursor on Protocol, from the drop down, select Z39.50 For the Protocol field, select Z39 point 5 0 from the drop down.
Point to the remaining fields. We will keep the remaining fields as such.
Click on the Search button. Now click on the Search button at the bottom of the page.
Cursor on Records 1 to 10 of 10 A new page Records one to ten of ten opens with the list of libraries.

Note that you may see a different list of libraries.

It may contain more or less than 10 libraries.

Cursor on Title, Host Connection Reliability, Host, Port, DB These details will be used to fill in details on the New Z39 point 5 0 server in Koha.
