Installation of ABT |
Now let's learn how to install ABT on a Aakash tablet.

Recommended Method |
First we will learn the recommended method of installation. |
Settings -> WiFi -> Advance Options | We need to install files on the tablet.
For that we need internet connection. If you work behind a proxy server, please ensure to bypass localhost in proxy settings. You can skip this step for direct Internet connection. |
Go to Settings -> WiFi -> Advance Options | You can find the option under,
Settings -> WiFi Choose the wifi to which you want to connect. Long press on it. Choose Modify network. Enter the password. Check Show Advanced Options checkbox. Fill the details. Add an entry of 127.0.0.1 to bypass localhost.

Point to sdcard location |
Once Downloaded, install the apk file. Tap on the ABT apk file. It will give two options: 1.Package Installer 2.Verify & Install Package Installer means it will directly install the apk. Verify and Install means it will verify from google play first.

Select Package Installer |
Tap on Package Installer. Tap on Just once. Tap on Install.

Point to ABT application |
Open ABT application. |
Point to the prompt | It will prompt that,
File system does not exist! Do you want to download and install? Tap on Yes. |
Point to progress bar | This will download abt.tar.gz file in your internal memory. |
Point to extraction | After downloading the file, it will automatically extract abt.tar.gz.

After extraction, it will again prompt that the, File system is not mounted, device requires a reboot Please Reboot the tablet. This was the recommended method of installation. |

http://www.it.iitb.ac.in/AakashApps/repo/abt.tar.gz Save the file. Here we are downloading abt.tar.gz manually.

Copy the ABT apk file and abt.tar.gz to /mnt/sdcard of the tablet.

Once Downloaded, install the apk file. Tap on the ABT apk file. It will give two options: 1.Package Installer 2.Verify & Install Package Installer means it will directly install the apk. Verify and Install means it will verify from google play first.

Open ABT application.

It will directly start the extraction of abt.tar.gz file.

Point to super user alert |
Grant permissions to superuser by tapping on Grant This alert will come incase you have upgraded android.

Point to the prompt | After extraction it will prompt that the,
File system is not mounted, device requires a reboot Now Reboot the tablet. Note: Incase there is not enough space in internal memory,

Point to ABT application |
Tap on ABT application. We have successfully installed Aakash Business Tool. You can see the information about ABT. Now ABT is ready to use.
