01:28 | First we will learn to add Ground Overlay to our map. |
01:32 | A ground overlay is an image that can be added on to a map. |
01:37 | I will add an image of an Indian flag on location of India on the map. |
01:43 | Click on the Ground Overlay icon in the Edit Maps panel. |

01:52 | Click on the Browse button at the top left corner of the dialog box. |

04:49 | We can place this polygon anywhere on the map using the drag and drop method. |
04:56 | Now we will move this polygon outside of the map. |

05:04 | Similarly we can change the properties of any item that is added on the map. |

05:14 | To highlight an area on the polygon, we can use Add Polygon Hole icon. |
05:20 | Holes can be made in the existing polygon to highlight a particular region. |
05:26 | Go to the polygon area Kerala and zoom in. |
05:30 | Here I will add a polygon hole in the region of Malapuram. |
05:36 | Click on the Add Polygon Hole icon. |
05:40 | Start marking nodes on the region of Malapuram. |
05:45 | Observe that Malapuram area is marked with a polygon hole. |

05:53 | We can add more nodes using the Add nodes icon. |
05:58 | I will now extend the Pune to Satara path. |
06:02 | Click on Add nodes icon. |
06:06 | Select the path from Pune to Satara named as Path-1. |
06:12 | Place the cursor on the ending node and drag it to the desired location. |
06:18 | I will extend the path to Kolhapur. |
06:22 | Next we will learn to remove items on the map. |
06:26 | To remove any item from the map, we can use Remove item icon. |
06:32 | Now I will remove Path-1 from the map. |
06:36 | Go to Path 1 and click on it. |
06:39 | Click on Remove item icon in the panel. |
06:43 | A message Are you sure you want to remove the current item? appears. |
06:48 | Click on the Yes button. |
06:51 | Path 1 has been removed from the map. |
06:55 | Click on Clear all annotations icon. |
06:59 | A message Are you sure you want to clear all annotations? appears. |
07:04 | This option is used to remove all the items created on the map. |
07:09 | Since I don't want to remove the items on the map, I will click on Cancel button. |

07:19 | Notice that all the icons in Edit maps panel are also available in the View menu. |
