00:06 In this tutorial we will learn to install Marble on,
00:11 Ubuntu Linux OS version 16.04 and Windows 10 OS
00:19 For the installation, I am using,
00:22 Marble version 1.12.20 in Ubuntu Linux OS version 16.04
00:30 Marble version 2.20 in Windows 10 OS
00:36 Firefox web browser and A working Internet connection.
00:41 The process demonstrated in this tutorial is identical in,

Ubuntu Linux version 18.04 and Marble version 2.2.20

00:54 Now I will show how to download Marble on Ubuntu Linux 16.04 OS.
01:00 Marble version 1.12.20 is the stable version, while recording this tutorial.
01:07 To practise these tutorials, you can download Marble version 1.12.20.
01:14 Let us open the terminal by pressing Ctrl, Alt and T keys simultaneously.
01:20 In the terminal window, type the following command.
01:24 sudo space apt hyphen get space install space marble
01:32 Press Enter key on the keyboard.
01:35 A message appears which prompts you to enter your system password.
01:40 Type the password and press Enter.
01:43 A message, Do you want to continue appears.
01:47 Type Y to continue.
01:50 Installation takes a few seconds depending on your internet connectivity.
01:56 The installation process is now completed.
02:00 Now we will open the Marble application.

Click on Dash Home.

02:06 In the Search bar, type Marble.
02:09 Marble icon is seen here.
02:12 Double-click on this icon to open the Marble application.
02:17 KDE Wallet Service dialog box opens.
02:21 Click on the Cancel button at the bottom of the dialog box.
02:25 This is the interface of Marble Virtual Globe.
02:29 Interface has two sections,

left panel and a 3D model of the Earth.

02:37 I will zoom in and show India on the Globe.
02:43 Let us now install Marble on Windows 10 OS.
02:48 Marble version 2.2.20 is the default version in Windows 10.
02:54 Open your default web browser.
02:57 I am using Firefox web browser.
03:01 In the address bar type Marble dot kde dot org and press Enter.
03:08 KDE Marble homepage opens.
03:12 Click on the Install button in the page.
03:15 Marble Install page opens.
03:18 Scroll down the page and go to Windows Desktop section.
03:23 Here we can see the Marble installer buttons for Windows.
03:28 Click on 32 bit / 64 bit installer button as per your system’s configuration.
03:35 I will choose 64 bit installer.
03:39 Double click on this button.
03:42 A dialog box opens, which prompts you to save the file.
03:47 Click on the Save File button to download the file.
03:51 Downloading may take a few seconds depending on your internet connectivity.
03:57 You can see that Marble Windows installer file is downloading.
04:02 Now let us go to the Downloads folder.
04:05 Marble setup dot exe file has downloaded to the Downloads folder.
04:11 Double click to open this file.
04:14 User Account Control dialog box opens.
04:18 Click on Yes in the box.
04:21 License agreement window opens.
04:25 Click on I accept the agreement radio button.
04:29 Click on Next button in the License agreement window.
04:33 Select Destination Location window to install Marble opens.
04:38 I will choose the default location and click on Next button in the window.
04:44 Select Additional Tasks window opens.
04:48 Check Create a desktop shortcut checkbox.
04:52 Again click on the Next button at the bottom of the window.
04:56 Ready to install window opens.

In the window, click on the Install button.

05:03 Installation may take a few seconds.
05:09 Completing the Marble Setup Wizard window opens.
05:13 Click on the Finish button.
05:16 The Marble interface opens on the screen.
05:19 Let us go to the Map view panel and scroll down.
05:24 Different map views are available in the Map View panel.
