00:44 | This file and an image file have been provided to you in the Code files link on this tutorial page
Please download and extract the files. |
00:54 | Make a copy and then use them for practising |
00:59 | I would like to insert an image here on the right hand side. |

02:18 | Resize the image by clicking and dragging the mouse, like this. |
02:23 | After resizing, click on the image and drag it to the top right corner of the document. |

02:36 | And then click on the Image option. |
02:40 | Next we will learn how Hyperlink is created in Writer. |
02:44 | Hyperlink within documents are words or phrases that can be clicked. |
02:49 | On clicking them, we jump to a new document or a new section within the current document. |
02:55 | Before creating a hyperlink in this file, we’ll first create a new document to be hyperlinked. |
03:02 | Click on the New icon in the standard toolbar |
03:06 | A new Writer document opens named as Untitled 1. |
03:11 | Now we will create a list of hobbies in this new document. |
03:16 | Let’s type the heading as HOBBIES and press Enter. |
03:21 | Now, let us type few of the hobbies as |
03:25 | Listening to music, |

03:32 | Then save this file by pressing Ctrl + S keys together. |
03:37 | In the file browser, I will select Desktop as the location to save my file. |
03:43 | In the Name field of dialog box, we’ll type the filename as HOBBY |
03:48 | Then click on the Save button at the top right. |
03:52 | Close this file HOBBY.odt by clicking on the X icon at the top right corner. |
