| Login with Superlibrarian account
Username - Bella Password - Library@1 Choose Library as Spoken Tutorial Library. Click on Login |
To create a spine label layout in Koha I have already logged in as a Superlibrarian. |
| Click on Cataloging module | On the Koha homepage click on the Cataloging module. |
| Highlight Cataloging page | The Cataloging page opens. |
| Cursor on Tools >> Choose #Label Creator | Now go to the Tools section and click on Label Creator. |
| Highlight Label creator | The Label creator page opens. |
| Click on New dropdown>> Layout | Click on the New drop down and select Layout. |
| Highlight New label layout page | The New label layout page opens. |

Enter Layout name: Spine Layout |
For the Layout name we will type Spine Layout. |
| Cursor on Choose barcode type(encoding)
From the dropdown select Code 39 |
Next is the Choose barcode type(encoding) field.
Here you can select the encoding for the barcode. The most common is Code 39. So from the drop down select Code 39, if not selected by default. |

From the dropdown select>> Only the bibliographic data is printed |
Next is the Choose layout type field.
Here we are creating a spine label, so from the drop down select Only the bibliographic data is printed. |

Cursor on Choose order of text fields to print: title, author, isbn, issn, itemtype and barcode Cursor on List fields Data fields |
Next is the Bibliographic data to print section.
Here Koha auto selected Choose order of text fields to print option with the predetermined fields. Below that we can also see the List fields option. From the given options choose as per your requirement. |

itemcallnumber dropdown select 1 barcode dropdown select 2. Leave the remaining dropdowns empty. |
For now we will go with the first option Choose order of text fields to print.
So for itemcallnumber from the drop down select 1. For barcode, from the drop down select 2. Leave the remaining drop downs empty. |
| Highlight Text justification>>Center | For the Text justification field, from the drop down select Center. |
| Highlight Font
From the drop down select Times-Roman |
Next is the Font field.
From the drop down select Times-Roman. You can choose as per your requirement. |
| Highlight Font size
Type 10 |
For the Font size field.
Type 10. You can set it as per your requirement. |
| Highlight Barcode width
Set it to 2.5 in Highlight Barcode height Set it to 1.5 in |
For the Barcode width enter 2 point 5 and for Barcode height enter 1 point 5 |

| Click on Save | Now click on the Save button at the bottom of the page. |
