00:01 Welcome to the Spoken Tutorial on Global System Preferences.
00:07 In this tutorial, we will learn to set Global System Preferences to customize a Library OPAC.
00:16 To record this tutorial, I am using:

Ubuntu Linux OS 16.04 and

Koha version 16.05

00:27 To follow this tutorial, you should have knowledge of Library Science.
00:33 To practice this tutorial, You should have Koha installed on your system.
00:39 And, You should also have Admin access in Koha.
00:44 If not, please refer to the Koha Spoken Tutorial series on this website.
00:50 Let us begin.
00:52 Login as Superlibrarian Bella and her password.
00:58 On the Koha homepage, click on Koha administration.
01:04 Next, click on Global system preferences.
01:09 Acquisitions preferences page opens.
01:13 On the left side, locate and click on the tab Enhanced Content.
01:20 Enhanced Content preferences page opens up.
01:25 Under the section All, go to Preference.
01:30 For FRBR Editions, from the drop-down select Show.
01:37 For OPAC FRBR Editions, from the drop-down select Show.
01:44 Next, for Amazon, go to the tab Preference.
01:49 I will leave Amazon Tag as blank.
01:53 For AmazonCoverImages, from the drop-down select Show.
01:59 I will leave AmazonLocale as it is.
02:03 For OPACAmazonCoverImages, from the drop-down select Show.
02:11 Next, for HTML5 Media, under the tab Preference-
02:18 for HTML5MediaEnabled, from the drop-down select in OPAC and staff client.
02:28 Leave HTML5MediaExtensions as it is.
02:33 For HTML5MediaYouTube, select from the drop-down Embed.
02:41 Under the Library Thing, go to the tab Preference.
02:46 For ThingISBN, from the drop-down select Use.
02:52 After making all the necessary changes, save the page.
02:57 Do this by clicking on Save all Enhanced Content preferences at the top of the page.
03:06 Now, on the same page, go to the options on the left side of the page and click on OPAC.
03:16 The page OPAC preferences opens.
03:20 Under Appearance, go to the tab Preference.
03:26 For the LibraryName, enter the name of the respective Library.
03:31 I will type: Spoken Tutorial Library.
03:35 You must enter the Library name that you had created.
03:40 Next, go to OPACBaseURL and enter the domain name.

I will type this.

03:51 According to your preference, you may set the domain name for OPAC.
03:56 Next, for Opaccredits, click on Click to Edit.
04:03 Type the HTML tag for footer. I will type this.
04:10 Next comes Opacheader. Here, click on Click to Edit.
04:18 Type the HTML tag for header. I will type this.
04:25 Under the section Features, go to the tab Preference.
04:31 Next, go to OPACpatronimages and from the drop-down select Show.
04:39 Next, go to OpacResetPassword and from the drop-down select allowed.
04:49 Under the section Privacy, go to the tab Preference.
04:55 Next, go to OPACPrivacy and from the drop-down select Allow.
05:03 After making all the necessary changes, save the page.
05:08 Do this by clicking on Save all OPAC preferences at the top of the page.
05:16 Now, log out from your Koha Superlibrarian account.
05:22 To do so, first go to the top right corner. Click on Spoken Tutorial Library.
05:31 Then, from the drop-down, select Log out.
05:36 Now, for checking out the changes on the OPAC, I will open my Web Browser and type: http://127.0.1.1/8000
05:53 Please note - this URL is based on the port number and domain name given at the time of installation.
06:01 So, please type as per what you had mentioned. Then press Enter.
06:08 Now you can note the changes such as:

Title of the OPAC homepage- Welcome to Spoken Tutorial Library.
