| 00:08 | In this tutorial we will learn to create a Mango pattern, Draw using Pattern along Path |
| 00:17 | To record this tutorial, I am using Ubuntu Linux 12.04 OS, Inkscape version 0.91 |
| 00:26 | Let us open Inkscape. |
| 00:28 | Select Bezier tool. On the Tool Controls bar, change the Mode to Create Spiro path and the Shape to Ellipse. |
| 00:38 | Now draw a mango type design in the canvas as demonstrated. It should look like a mango pattern. |
| 00:47 | Next select the Star tool. |
| 00:50 | Now draw a star on the canvas. Click on the Selector tool. |
| 00:55 | On the Tool controls bar, change the Width and Height to 30. |
| 01:00 | Change the color to red. |
| 01:03 | Next we have to create a row pattern of the star. |
| 01:07 | To do so, go to Edit menu, click on Clone and Create Tiled Clones. |

| 01:18 | Change the number of Rows to 1 and Columns to 46. |
| 01:24 | Number of Columns may vary according to the size of the mango shape. |
| 01:28 | Click on Create. Now the row pattern is created. |
| 01:33 | Select all the stars and press Ctrl + G to group them. |
| 01:38 | Now select both the mango shape and the star patten. |
| 01:42 | Go to Extensions, click on Generate from Path and then on Pattern along Path. |
| 01:49 | Click on Apply and close the dialog box. |
| 01:53 | Observe star pattern is formed on the shape. |
| 01:57 | Now select the mango shape and the star row and delete them. |
| 02:01 | Select the star pattern and press Ctrl + D to duplicate it. |

| 02:16 | Let us now fill the empty area inside the mango pattern with another design. |

| 02:37 | In Pattern source, click on the 1st option, that is Edit on-canvas. |

| 02:48 | Let me zoom in to see the nodes clearly. Move it near the pattern. |
| 02:54 | Now click on the nodes and drag. Now observe the change in the shape. |
| 03:00 | Click on the Selector tool. Now go to Path menu and click on Object to Path. |
| 03:06 | This is done to avoid any change in the shape, while resizing. |
| 03:12 | Resize the pattern as shown. Duplicate it and place inside the Mango pattern. |
| 03:20 | Next let us fill the empty area inside the smaller mango pattern. |
| 03:25 | Click on the Star tool and draw a star. |
| 03:28 | Click on the inner handle and recreate a shape like this. Change the color to blue. |
| 03:34 | Click on the Selector tool and resize the shape. |
| 03:38 | Duplicate this shape and fill the smaller mango pattern. |
| 03:47 | Press Ctrl + A to select all the objects. And press Ctrl + G to group them. |
| 03:53 | Resize the pattern and place it on the top left of the canvas. |
| 03:58 | We can repeat this pattern using cloning. Go to Edit menu. Click on Clone and then on Create Tiled clones. |
| 04:07 | Under the Symmetry tab, the mode should be Simple translation. |
| 04:12 | Change the number of rows to 8 and number of columns to 5. |
| 04:17 | Click on Shift tab. Change the Shift X value of Per column to 30. |
