Title Slide Welcome to this spoken tutorial on how to use the SBI Pay app.
Learning Objectives Slide In this tutorial we will learn to-
  • Transfer money and
  • Keep track of all our transactions using the SBI Pay app
Pre-requisites Slide In an earlier tutorial available on this website, we learnt how to register on the SBI Pay app.
Pre-requisites Slide Ensure that you have gone through that tutorial and installed SBI Pay on your phone.
Pre-requisites Slide After installing, complete all the one time registration processes also.


That is-

  1. The SBI Pay app password and
  2. The MPIN
Now, let’s learn how to use the SBI Pay app.
On the phone On your android smartphone, search for SBI Pay, as shown here.
Select SBI Pay app We can open the app by selecting the icon, as demonstrated here.
[[Image:]] Here you will be prompted to enter the same password that you created during registration.


Let’s do that and then select the Submit button.

The app will take you to the next screen, which is the Main menu.


Now we will learn how to transfer money using the SBI Pay app.


Select Pay option.

[[Image:]] The app redirects to this page.
[[Image:]] Here you have to select the bank account from which you want to pay.


The account that you already registered earlier, will appear in this list.


Choose that account.

[[Image:]] Then make the relevant entries in Payee’s Virtual Address.


Please note-

The Payee should have already registered for SBI Pay on his phone.

[[Image:]] The app will immediately validate the details.
[[Image:]] And automatically display the Payee name.
[[Image:]] You can write any remarks that you want for future reference, in the Remarks field.

Then enter the amount in the Transaction Amount field.


And select the Pay button.

[[Image:]] The app will prompt you to enter the MPIN.
[[Image:]] Let’s enter the MPIN here.


And select the Submit button.

[[Image:]] Please wait is buffering sign is seen.
[[Image:]] Now, you will get the success message on the screen.
[[Image:]] You will also get an SMS from your bank with the transaction information.


This shows that your transaction is complete.


The Payee has received the money that you transferred.

This is how you make payments using the SBI Pay app.
Switch back to Main menu Let’s come back to the Main menu.

Circle My UPI Transactions option

You can keep track of all your transactions by selecting the My UPI Transactions option in the Main menu.


This is the transaction that you just made.

Screenshot of beneficiary’s SMS message Likewise, the beneficiary will also get an SMS from his bank, as shown here.

He can also check the same using the My UPI Transactions option in the Main menu.
