Switch to slide no 2 Welcome to spoken tutorial. In the coming few minutes, we will talk about how to install moodle using WAMP server.
Switch to slide no 3 Download WAMP Server from the following site:

http://www.wampserver.com/en/

To install WAMP Server, run the downloaded file. This will run the setup wizard.

Switch to Terminal Click next to continue the installation process. Accept the License Agreement and click next. Select the destination folder say c:\wamp and click next. Select the additional icons as you want and click next. The screen will show that the setup is ready to install WAMP. Click on install. The destination folder would also be shown. The installation is done. It would ask if you want to launch the WAMP Server. Check the checkbox and click on finish. This would launch the WAMP Server.
Switch to slide no 4 The webserver root directory for WAMP server will be as follows: <installation_drive>:\<installation_path>\www e.g. C:\wamp\www Download Standard Moodle Package e.g. moodle-weekly-19.zip as a compressed package from http://download.moodle.org/ Extract the contents of the downloaded package to the WAMP server root directory e.g. C:\wamp\www You will now have a directory called "moodle", containing a number of files and folders. Now you will be having moodle pakage path as follows: <installation_drive>:\<installation_path>\www\moodle e.g. C:\wamp\www\moodle
Switch to Terminal To setup MySQL database for moodle click the WAMP server icon. Click the "phpmyadmin" option in the context menu of WAMP Server. It will open the default browser and start PHPMyadmin. Go to Databases tab in PHPMyadmin. Now in "creare Database" textbox, write the database name you intended to use for moodle installation. e.g. "moodle". Click on "Create" button to proceed and create database. The database is now created for moodle and is ready to use. Close the browser. Open new browser window to start installing moodle. Type the url http://localhost/moodle to start the installation. Confirm the locations of moodle installations. Click next. Enter the database settings. Enter the password for the root user. Click next. The install process checks the server it has installed. Click next. Fill the settings for Admin user profile. Click on Save. The next screen is the Front Page settings page. There are two parts to it. The first part will ask for your Full site name and a short name for the navigation bar. There is also a place for a description. You can change these later. The second part on the bottom instructs Moodle if you will disable the new user self authentication through email process. The default is to disable. This can be changed later in the site administration block. Click on "Save changes" button to go to Moodle sites home page. Now you are ready to Moodle!
