Chemistry Lab Experiments

The chemistry lab experiments presented here are aimed to provide basic understanding of science concepts introduced at Middle-School, High-School and undergraduate level. The experiments designed for schools in this series are based on the curriculum proposed by NCERT. These experiments are designed in such a way that they can be demonstrated in the class-room by the teacher. They are aimed to raise the standards of science education in schools.

Basic Level

1. Determination of Density of Solids

  • Description of vernier caliper.
  • How to use a vernier caliper.
  • Measure the dimensions of an iron cuboid using a vernier caliper.
  • Calculate the volume of a cuboid.
  • Determine mass by using digital weighing balance.
  • Determine density in g/cm3 and kg/m3.
