| Recap Visuals from Previous Tutorials | In earlier tutorials, Rahul and Tara learnt that effort helps the brain grow.
• They also learnt that mistakes create new connections in the brain. • The word "yet" is a reminder to stay hopeful while learning. • Calm thinking helps to stay focused and give your best. • In this tutorial, we will bring all these lessons together. |
| College cricket ground – evening scene | Let's begin.
The college ground is filled with excitement. In sometime, the cricket team will be announced. It's for the upcoming inter-college tournament Rahul and Tara sitting under their favorite tree, watched the players practice. |
| Rahul and Tara are sitting calmly and talking to each other | Tara looked at Rahul and said, "You don't look nervous at all. Aren't you waiting to hear your name?" |
| Rahul smiling calmly | Rahul smiled.
"Of course I am. But I'm not anxious or excited. I've done everything I could. If I get selected, I'll keep training. If I don't, I will still keep training." |
| Tara surprised, smiling | "Wow, Rahul. You sound so calm.
What happened to the old Rahul who used to panic before every test?" she teased. |
| Rahul laughing softly | Rahul laughed. "He's still there… just a little wiser now." |
| Flashback montage | Rahul continued, "You remember when I struggled with statistics?
That's when you told me how the brain grows through effort. That changed everything for me." |
| Elocution flashback | "Then came my failure at the elocution competition.
I felt terrible then. But later, I realized reflecting on my mistakes helps me grow." |
| Lab experiment flashback – Tara smiling | Tara nodded.
"And when I couldn't get my experiment right, you taught me about the word yet. That helped me stay patient and ask for help." |
| Counselling session flashback | Rahul then said, "Dr. Meera showed me that calm thinking can help my brain.
That 4–2–4 breathing exercise has really helped me stay focused." |
| Back to present | Tara smiled. "Looks like you've turned everything we learnt into practice."
Rahul nodded. "Yes, I guess that's what a growth mindset is. It's knowing that every challenge is a chance to learn." |
| Rahul and Tara Talking to each other | "It's about showing up, trying again.
Even when things get hard." Rahul said thoughtfully. |
| Tara curious | "So what's next for you, Rahul?" Tara asked. |
| Rahul's determined face | Rahul smiled
He then said, "My dream is to play for my country. Whether I get selected for the tournament or not, that goal doesn't change. I'll keep learning, keep practicing, and keep improving." |
| Coach holding microphone with players gathered | They could now hear the coach's voice:
"The final list for the college cricket team will now be announced!" Rahul looked up, took a deep breath, and smiled. |
| Crowd cheering | "Rahul Sharma!" the coach announced.
Tara jumped in excitement. "You made it, Rahul!" she said joyfully. |
| Rahul smiling humbly | Rahul grinned but stayed calm.
"Yes. But remember what we learnt? Whether we win or lose, we grow." |
| Both smiling proudly | Tara nodded, "That's the spirit of the growth mindset." |
| Summary Slide | Let's recap what we learnt so far:
Growth mindset is about believing that we can always improve. This happens with effort, reflection, and perseverance. It's about facing challenges with curiosity instead of fear It is staying calm no matter what the outcome. |
