  • Teacher access to a Moodle course
  • Have graded assignment and quiz submissions from students

Logged in as teacher Nitya Login as teacher Nitya.

Now let us see how to generate these reports.

Navigate: Go to Advanced Algebra course → click Grades Click My courses.

Click on Advanced Algebra and then click Grades.

Scroll slowly down the page Recall that this course had 2 graded assignments.

Scroll to see the grades scored by all the students.

Point to dropdown option - Grader Report Scroll up.

The default dropdown option here is 'Grader Report.'

Click the dropdown Click to view other options for reports.
Click Single View In the Search users textbox, start typing the name of the student.

As you type, names of students appear in a list.

Choose the student you want to view details of.

Scroll slowly down the page Scroll to see all the graded items and related details.
Scroll up Menu: Click on Reports Next, from the course menu, click on Reports.
Show: Available types – Activity, Course participation, Logs, etc. You can choose from several report types listed here.

Recall this course had completion statuses for all the course materials.

Select: Activity completion Let’s choose the report type - Activity completion.

In the report, we can see the completion details for each course material.

Point to the filter options Use the filters to customize the report as per your requirement.
Show: Export options (CSV, Excel compatible) If you want to save or share the report, look for the Download options.

You can export the report in formats like 'CSV' or 'Excel compatible format.'

Click Download Excel compatible format Click Download to save the report to your computer.
Open the report file on your computer and view the data Review the downloaded report to identify patterns and insights.

Decide on actions such as helping low-performing students or revising content.

Now let’s learn how teachers can download quiz reports.
Navigate: Go to Calculus course → click Grades Click My courses.

Click on Calculus and then click Grades.

Recall that this course had a quiz.
Click column head "Quiz for Basic Calculus" In the table, click on the column head Quiz for Basic Calculus
Click on "Results" The quiz summary page opens.

In the quiz menu, click on Results.

Point to the filter options Use the filters to customize the report as per your requirement.
Locate the dropdown for "Download table data as" → Click on "Excel option" → click Download Locate the dropdown for Download table data as.

Choose the format suitable for you.

Then click on the Download button.

Open the report file on your computer and view the data Review the downloaded report to identify patterns and insights.
So this is how a teacher can access reports in Moodle.
