how to install Android Studio version 3.1.3 on Ubuntu Linux operating system. |

00:28 | Before you begin, ensure that Java JDK5 or a higher version is installed on your system. |
00:36 | A minimum of 8 GB RAM is recommended, but 4GB RAM will also work fine. |
00:43 | I will demonstrate how to install Android Studio on Ubuntu Linux OS. |
00:50 | Open your web browser and type the URL shown here. |
00:58 | Click on the Download Android Studio button. |
01:02 | If you are using any other OS, please click on the download option link for that OS. |
01:10 | Please read the instructions on the Terms and Conditions page. |
01:15 | Then click the check box to accept the terms and conditions. |
01:20 | Now I will click on the link Download android studio for Linux. |

01:29 | Click on the Save File option button to save the file. |

01:37 | The download may take some time depending upon your Internet connection. |
01:42 | The installer file will be downloaded in the default Downloads folder. |
01:48 | We will copy this zip file into our Home directory. |

02:09 | Open the terminal by pressing Ctrl +Alt + t keys simultaneously. |
02:16 | Go to the bin folder within the android hyphen studio directory. |

sudo space chmod space 777 space hyphen capital R studio dot sh and press Enter. |
02:38 | Type the password if prompted. |
02:42 | This command will change the permission for studio dot sh file to read, write and execute for all users. |
02:51 | Now, type dot forward slash studio dot sh and press Enter. |
03:00 | A popup window appears for Complete Installation. |
03:05 | Select Do not import settings and click on the Ok button in the window. |
03:12 | The Android Studio IDE will start loading. |
03:16 | The Android Studio setup wizard window opens up now.
Click on the Next button. |
03:24 | Select Standard in the Install Type window.
Click on the Next button. |
03:30 | Keep the default options in the remaining windows and click Next button. |
03:36 | Lastly click on the Finish button at the bottom of the window. |
03:41 | Wait until the setup is completed. |
03:45 | Click on the ‘Finish’ button. |
03:48 | We can see the Welcome page of Android Studio. |
03:52 | This indicates that we have successfully installed Android Studio. |
03:58 | Android Studio can be installed in a similar manner on Windows operating system. |
