Guilt Guilt is an emotion we all experience.
A woman feeling guilty It often makes us uncomfortable.

Guilt vs values It helps us see when we have gone against our values or broken someone's trust.
Hunter-gatherer life Thousands of years ago, humans lived as hunter-gatherers in small tribes.
Hunter-gatherer scenes Survival depended on sharing food, protecting one another, and cooperation.

Getting attacked by wolf

If one person lied, hid food from everyone, or broke trust, the entire group suffered.
Guilty man Guilt helped early humans notice this from within.
A man alert It acted as an inner alarm saying, "I may harm my group."
Man asking for forgiveness This pushed them to admit mistakes, repair harm, and restore trust.
A woman guilty with chains symbol Guilt is not a moral weakness.

Today's scenario Life today is very different from the past.
Emotions But our emotional system is the same.

Sonia noticing down Sonia noted it down but soon forgot about it.
Friends on a trek That weekend, Sonia went on a short trek with her friend Rachita.
