To import patron data, I have already logged in as a Superlibrarian. |
| Click on the Tools module
Cursor on Tools Cursor on Patrons and circulation Click on Import patrons |
On the Koha staff interface click on the Tools module.
Tools page opens. Under Patrons and circulation locate Import patrons. Click on Import patrons. |

Got to Downloads folder Click on patron_import file Cardnumber: 10 Surname: Raghav Firstname: Soniya Middlename: Blank Title: Ms. City: Mumbai email: Blank Branchcode: ST Categorycode: RS Dateenrolled: 2025-06-19 Expirydate: 2026-06-18 Password: Soniya@1234 To save the file go to the File tab and from the drop down click on Save Save the file in Use Text CSV Format |
On the right side under the Notes section, click on Download a Starter CSV file with all the columns.
It will download a sample file with all the needed column headings. From the dialogue box, click on the patron_import.csv file. A popup window Text import - [patron_import.csv] opens. Click the OK button at the bottom of the window. This will open patron_import.csv -LibreOffice Calc. Pause the video, and fill the patrons details in the required fields as shown. These patrons details are also provided in the Code files link. Download and extract the file. Copy and paste the details in the required fields. To save the file go to the File tab and from the drop down click on Save. A popup Confirm File Format window opens. Click on Use Text CSV Format and close the file. |

Go back to the Koha Import patrons page.
Go to the Import into the borrowers table section. For the field Select the file to import click on the Browse button. A pop up File Upload window opens. Here choose the patron_import.csv file. Click on the Select button at the top right of the window. |

Click on the Import button |
Now scroll down the Import patrons page.
Click on the Import button at the bottom of the page. |

| Click on Import Patron Data
In the Search patron bar type 10 and press Enter |
At the top of the page locate the Search patron bar.
Here we will enter a card number of a patron imported through csv file. In the Search patron bar we will type 10 and press Enter. |
