Slide Number 3 System Requirements To record this tutorial, I am using Ubuntu Linux OS v22.04 Koha v24.05 Firefox v131.0.3 A working internet connection.	To record this tutorial, I am using Ubuntu Linux OS version 22 point 04 Koha version 24 point 05 Firefox version 131 point 0 point 3 I also have a working internet connection.
Slide Number 4 Pre-requisites https://spoken-tutorial.org/	To follow this tutorial, you should have Koha installed on your system and Admin access in Koha. If not, refer to the Koha Installation tutorial on this site. Also, you should have knowledge of Library Science.
Show Koha login interface	Let us switch to the Koha interface.
Login to Koha with Username as Bella and Password as Library@1.	For login, I will type the username as Bella and the password as Library@1. If you had given a different username and password, then type that. To choose the Library from the drop down select Spoken Tutorial Library. Click on Login.
Show Koha staff Interface	The Koha staff interface opens.
Narration only	Now, let’s go ahead to Duplicate a Budget.
Show Koha interface >> Koha administration	For that click on the Koha administration module.

Go to the section Acquisition parameters click on Budget	Now scroll down and go to the Acquisition parameters section. Click on Budgets.

Slide Number 5 Why to duplicate a Budget Suppose the budget amount and amount of funds is same for the next financial year. In that case, we can simply duplicate the budget. This will help the Library staff to save a lot of time and effort.	But before that, we must first learn why we should duplicate a Budget. Suppose the Budget amount and amount of Funds is same for the next financial year. In that case, we can simply duplicate the Budget. This will help the Library staff to save a lot of time and efforts.
Spoken Tutorial Library 2023-2024 Phase I Click on the Actions button Cursor on: Duplicate	So, to duplicate a budget of Spoken Tutorial Library 2023-2024 Phase I. Click on the Actions button at the extreme right. From the drop-down, select Duplicate.
Duplicate budget page	A Duplicate budget page opens.
Point to the fields marked in red.	Notice that all the fields marked in red are mandatory.
Enter: Start date: as 04/01/2024 MM/DD/YYYY) End date: as 03/31/2025 (MM/DD/YYYY)	Enter the Start date and End date for the next year’s Budget as shown here.
Cursor on Description Type- Spoken Tutorial Library 2024-2025, Phase II.	Next is the Description field. Note that- Description details should be such that it can be easily identified with a particular Budget later. Koha by default, shows the previously entered description. But we will rename it as Spoken Tutorial Library 2024-2025, Phase II.
Cursor on Change amounts by: Enter -20%	In the field for Change amounts by: Enter the percentage that needs to be taken out from the previous year's Budget Or carry forward the same amount. Recall that an amount of Rs 500000 lakh was approved for Spoken Tutorial Library. Hence, we will enter -20 (minus 20 percent) to take out an amount of Rupees 1 lakh
Cursor on If amounts changed, round to a multiple of	The next field is If amounts changed, round to a multiple of: We will leave the field blank.
Cursor on Mark the original budget as inactive : blank	Going further, we have the checkbox for Mark the original budget as inactive. If we select this checkbox, the original Budget will no longer be used. We will leave this checkbox as it is.
Cursor on Set all funds to zero	Lastly, we have the checkbox for Set all funds to zero. Check this box if you want the new Budget to have the same Fund structures as the previous Budget. But please note- no allocations will be allowed until you manually enter an amount in the Fund. So, we will also leave this checkbox blank for now.
Click on Save button	After all the details are filled click on Save button at the bottom of the page.
Cursor on Budgets page	This will bring us back to Budgets page.
