Pre-requisites

To follow this tutorial, you should have
  • Koha installed on your system and
  • Admin access in Koha.

If not, refer to the Koha Installation tutorial on this site.

Also, you should have knowledge of Library Science.

Show Koha login interface Let us switch to the Koha interface.
Login to Koha with Username as Bella and Password as Library@1. For login, I will type username as Bella and the password as Library@1.

If you had given a different username and password, then type that.

To choose the Library from the drop down select Spoken Tutorial Library.

Click on Login

Show Koha staff Interface The Koha staff interface opens.
Narration only Now, let’s go ahead to Allocate Budget.
Show Koha interface >> Koha administration For that click on the Koha administration module.
Koha administration page Koha administration page opens.
Go to the section Acquisition parameters click on Budgets Now scroll down and go to the Acquisition parameters section.

Click on Budgets.

Cursor on Budgets page This opens the Budgets page with the list of budget names listed.
Click on Spoken Tutorial Library 2023-2024 Phase I. Here, we will click on Spoken Tutorial Library 2023-2024 Phase I.

Recall that we had created this budget in an earlier tutorial of this series.

Funds for budget Spoken Tutorial Library 2023-2024 Phase I’ page This will bring us to Funds for budget Spoken Tutorial Library 2023-2024 Phase I page.

Message Highlighted in blue says No fund found.

Click on +New To add funds click on the New button on the top.
From drop-down select New fund for Spoken Tutorial Library 2023-2024 Phase I. From the dropdown, select New fund for Spoken Tutorial Library 2023-2024 Phase I.
New fund page A page New fund opens.
Point to the fields marked in red. Notice that all the fields marked in red are mandatory.
Fill in the details such as:

Fund code: Books

Fund name: Books Fund

Amount: 25000

Warning at (%): 10

Warning at (amount): Blank

Owner: Blank

Users: Blank

Library: From dropdown select Spoken Tutorial

Restrict access to: None

Notes: Blank

Statistic 1 done on: Blank

Statistic 2 done on: Blank

Here, you can pause the video and fill in the details as shown.
Click on the Submit button After all the details are filled, scroll down.

Click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
