Ubuntu Linux OS version 18.04 |

00:31 | We will install OpenFOAM using the terminal. |
00:35 | Open a terminal by pressing Ctrl, Alt and T keys together. |
00:41 | Make sure that you are connected to the Internet. |
00:45 | A public key needs to be added to the repository. |
00:49 | This key enables the repository to verify OpenFOAM package signatures. |
00:55 | To do this, in the Terminal, carefully type the following command and press Enter. |
01:01 | The machine will ask for the system password. |
01:05 | Type the password and press Enter. |
01:09 | Let me clear the screen. |
01:12 | Now type the following command and press Enter. |
01:16 | This will enable apt to search for dl.openfoam.org in the list of software repositories. |
01:25 | Here onwards, please remember to press the Enter key after typing each command. |

01:34 | Now type the following command to update the apt package list. |

01:42 | Next let us install OpenFOAM version 7. |

01:58 | Let’s now configure the system to use the installed OpenFOAM package. |

02:06 | Open the .bashrc file located in the Home directory in a text editor. |

02:30 | This will enable us to execute the OpenFOAM commands via terminal. |

02:38 | Since the changes to .bashrc file is yet to be registered, we need to open a new terminal. |
02:45 | To open a new terminal, press Ctrl, Alt and T keys together. |
02:50 | In the new terminal, type the following command. |
02:54 | A message with the list of options is displayed on the terminal. |
02:59 | This confirms that OpenFOAM 7 is properly installed. |
03:04 | Let me clear the screen. |
03:07 | Let us now check the installation of ParaView. |
03:11 | Type paraview in the terminal. |
03:15 | The ParaView interface opens in a new window.
Close the start-up screen. |
03:21 | This confirms that ParaView is properly installed. |
03:25 | Close this window. |
03:27 | The installation of OpenFOAM 7 is now complete. |
03:32 | We can access OpenFOAM commands from the terminal now. |
