00:01 Hello everyone. Welcome to this tutorial on Privileges of a Registered User on Spoken Tutorial website.
00:08 In this tutorial, we will learn about- Suggest a topic,
00:13 Suggest an example,
00:15 Collaborate with Us and Video for Dubbing on the Spoken Tutorial website.
00:22 To access the Spoken Tutorial website, you should have- a working internet connection,
00:29 a web browser installed on your machine and a valid email-Id.
00:35 I will be using the latest version of Firefox web browser for demonstration.
00:42 We will consider activities of a registered user, under Creation tab.
00:49 For this, you should have registered yourself as a contributor.
00:55 Registration procedure was covered earlier in another tutorial.
01:01 Please refer to the relevant tutorial on the Spoken Tutorial website.
01:07 Let us now open the Spoken Tutorial website.
01:11 In your web-browser address bar, type: http://www.spoken-tutorial.org and press Enter.
01:24 The Spoken Tutorial website opens.
01:28 Let us login using our registered user-name and password.
01:34 Now, click on Creation drop-down, in the main menu at the top.
01:39 In the sub-menu, click on Suggest a Topic link.
01:44 Suggest a Topic for a Spoken Tutorial page opens.
01:49 One can suggest new topics for creating spoken tutorials here.
01:55 In Title for Suggested Topic, you can type the name of the suggested topic.
02:03 In Recommend a Difficulty Level drop-down box, select the difficulty level of the topic.
02:12 Next, select the operating system from the displayed list.
02:17 You can select single/ multiple OS.
02:22 Hold the Ctrl key to select multiple OS.
02:27 In Brief Description field, type the brief outline for the suggested topic.
02:34 This will help the Spoken Tutorial Content Team to understand the topic better.
02:41 In "Would you like to suggest an example for this topic?" drop-down, select either Yes or No.
02:51 Lastly, click on Submit button.
02:55 Your topic suggestion will be submitted.
02:59 And, you will get a confirmation message.
03:03 Now let's see how to suggest an example on Spoken Tutorial website.
03:09 Click on Creation drop-down in the Main menu.
03:13 In the sub-menu, click on Suggest an Example link.
03:19 "Suggest an Example for a Spoken Tutorial" page opens.
03:24 Type the example name or title in Title for Suggested Example text box.
03:32 Next, give a brief outline or description of the example in Description of Example text box.
03:41 I will type this description for demonstration purpose.
03:47 Select Yes or No from "Would you like to write the script for the above?" drop-down.

Please note, Yes is selected by default.

03:59 Select Yes or No from "Would you like to be a reviewer for the above?" drop-down.
04:07 Lastly, click on Submit button.
04:11 Your example suggestion will be submitted. And, you will get a confirmation message.
04:19 Now let's see the last activity under Creation tab which is Collaborate with Us.
04:27 Click on Creation drop-down.
04:30 In the sub-menu, click on Collaborate with Us link.
04:36 "We are happy to collaborate with you" page opens.
04:40 In Contact Number field, enter a valid phone no.
04:45 Type the name of your institute or organisation in Name of Institution field.
04:54 Type the name of the FOSS in which you wish to contribute in Name of FOSS field.
05:02 Next, select the appropriate role based on your expertise in the chosen FOSS.
05:10 Now in "Would you like to contribute towards:" drop-down list, select your preferred activity.
05:19 Multiple selections can be made by holding the Ctrl key while selecting.
05:25 Next field is where one can specify the time that one can devote as a contributor or reviewer.
05:35 Click on the suitable radio-button as per your availability.
05:40 Mention all the constraints you have in List any constraints on availability field.
05:49 If you are interested in being a reviewer as well, then you can do so.
05:56 If Reviewer, some of your contributions in this FOSS system:
06:02 in this field, give the required information so that your expertise can be validated.
06:10 Next, enter your Educational Qualifications
06:15 and your Training/Professional Experience.
06:20 The next two fields are for those who wish to be a language contributor.
06:27 That is, to do translation and dubbing of content.
06:32 Select your choices accordingly.
06:35 You can take the initiative to lead the effort for a particular FOSS or language.
06:42 If so, select Yes in Would you like to lead the Spoken Tutorial effort? drop-down.
06:50 Lastly, click on Submit button.
06:54 You will get confirmation message.
06:57 Now, let's move on to Videos for Dubbing on Spoken Tutorial website.
07:04 Click on Creation drop-down in the main menu.
07:08 In the sub-menu, click on Video for Dubbinglink.
07:14 Index of /english-videos/ page opens.
07:21 Here English videos are made available which are used for dubbing purposes.
