Switch to slide no 2 Welcome to spoken tutorial. In the coming few minutes, we'll talk about how to send messages to the participants through the moodle site.
Switch to Terminal Click on your username on the top right corner of the page to reach your "Profile" page, or click on "Profile" button in the Administration block on the left side of the page. There's a button for Messages on the left bottom of the Profile page. Click on that. A message window will open having 3 tabs - contacts, search and settings. Click on Search tab to search for the user you want to send the message to. Enter the person's name and choose the required options. Click on "Search". The matching entries would be shown in this window. Click on the right entry. A new window with the message box will appear. Type in your message and click on "send message". The message will be sent to the person. To send messages to multiple students directly from the participants list click on the Participants link in the People block on the course page. Select participants from the list or use the “Select all” button at the bottom of the list. Choose “Add/send message” from the “With selected users...” drop-down menu at the bottom of the page. Type the message, and click the "Send" button.
