Title, Category and Article Text are the mandatory fields while creating an article. |
| Point to the red asterix. | These are indicated by the all too familiar red asterix. |
| Title : Sodium | Let's create an article now.
Type Sodium as the title of the article. |

Let's leave it as it is. |
| Next, we will put some text into the text box: Article Text.
You can put any text of your choice here. | |
| Click on Gedit editor in the launcher bar.
Copy the text by doing Ctrl+C >> Go to the browser >> Paste the text by doing Ctrl+V |
I will copy the text that I have in my Gedit editor and paste it in the article text. |
| Highlight Featured | There is a field called Featured which is a dropdown with options Yes and No. |
| A featured article is one which will be displayed on the homepage of a website. | |

I am going to add a line at the beginning of the text: Sodium is one of the essential minerals required by our body. |
| This time let us choose another option to save the changes in the article. | |
| Click on Save in the top right toolbar. | Click on Save in the toolbar. It will save the article and load the page with Edit Article.
Which indicates that the article is still open for editing. |
| Lets go to the website and verify our changes. | |
| Click on View Site. | Click on View Site on the top right of the page. |
| Scroll down and highlight the modification. | Scroll down to see that the article is edited. |
| Switch to the admin panel. | Close the browser window and go back to the administrative panel. |
