Showing Blender brochure (Animation) | This is a sample 3 fold brochure. As we open it we can see the 3 folds.
|
Showing Blender brochure (Animation) | The outer side contains 1, 5 and 6.
|
Open Inkscape | Let us open Inkscape.
|
Document properties >> Orientation >> Landscape | Go to Document properties. Change the Orientation to Landscape.
|
Point to the width parameter | Observe the width of the canvas is 297.
|
Point to the canvas | So we have to divide 297 into 3 parts, which is 99 for each page.
|
Click and drag the ruler >> Point to the guideline | Click and drag the ruler from side. Now we have the guideline.
|
Double click on the guideline >> change X value to 99 | Double click on the guideline. A dialog box opens up.
|
Create another ruler >> change X value to 198 | In a similar way click on the ruler and drag it.
|
Point to the canvas | Now our canvas is divided into 3 parts.
|
Point to the canvas | Let us save it twice.
|
Go to File >> Save as >> Inkscape_IN.svg | Go to File. Click on Save as. I will save it on Desktop.
|
Go to File >> Save as >> Inkscape_OUT.svg | In a similar way save for outer side of the brochure.
|
Point to the canvas | Let us first design the inner side of the brochure i.e. the 2nd, 3rd and 4th pages.
|
Draw graphic illustration >> color it blue >> reduce opacity to 70 | Using the bezier tool draw a graphic illustration. Color it blue.

Draw a circle of 45X45 pixels >> duplicate it >> change it to 43X 43 pixels | Create a circle of 45X45 pixels. Color it blue.
|
Keep it on the top of blue circle >> color it green | Keep it on the top of the blue circle. Color it green.
|
Repeat the same process and create 5 more circles | In a similar way create another 5 circles.
|
Show the images | I have already edited the image to ellipse shape and saved them in my documents folder.
|
Import Inkscape logo | Go to File. Import Image1.
|
Repeat the same procedure | In a similar way I have done for the other 5 images.
|
Draw an arrow using bezier tool >> Color it gray | Select bezier tool draw an arrow. Color it gray.
|
Filters menu >> Shadows and Glows >> Drop Shadow >> Apply | Go to Filters menu. Select Shadows and Glows and then on Drop Shadow.
|
Duplicate and align them | Duplicate it and create 2 more arrows.
|
Point to the ink blots | I have drawn ink blots using pencil tool and placed randomly around the canvas.
|
Point to the graphic elements on the canvas | Now all the graphic elements are done.
|
Type “Introduction to Inkscape” | Type “Introduction to Inkscape” on the first arrow. |
Type “Features of Inkscape” | Type “Features of Inkscape” on the second arrow. |
Type “Usage of Inkscape” | Type “Usage of Inkscape” on the third arrow.

Point to the canvas | Now we have to insert the text under each heading.
|
Copy text from LibreOffice Writer and paste | I will copy and paste the texts from a LibreOffice Wrier file that I have saved already.

Select the ellipse tool >> create a bullet | Create a bullet of green color using the ellipse tool.
|
Repeat the process | Repeat the same process for all the sentences. |
Point to the canvas | Now the inner part of the brochure is ready.

Point to the canvas | Let us now save the same file into PDF.
|
Go to File >> Save as Change the extension to PDF >> Save | Go to File. Click on Save as. Change the extension to PDF.
|
Next let us create the outer part of the brochure.

File >> Open >> Inkscape.OUT.svg | Go to File. Click on Open. Select the Inkscape_OUT.svg.

Point to the canvas | Now we have to design the 1st, 4th and 5th pages.
|
Draw graphic illustration >> Color it blue | Draw a graphic illustration on the top left using the Bezier tool.
|
Import Spoken Tutorial logo >> align it | Import Spoken Tutorial logo.
|
Type “Spoken Tutorial” >> Align it | Type “Spoken Tutorial” and align to the right of the logo. |
Draw a circle >> color it white | Draw a circle below the text. Color it white. |
Import Inkscape logo | Import Inkscape logo and resize it to 120X120 pixels.

Type “Inkscape” | Type “Inkscape” below the logo.
|
Point to the canvas | I have added details about Spoken Tutorial and inserted logos.

Point to the canvas | I have aligned them using Text and font and Align and Distribute options.

File >> Save as >> Change the extension to PDF >> Save | Go to File. Click on Save as. Change the extension to PDF.

Show the completed brochure | This is our completed brochure. |
