00.01 Welcome to this spoken tutorial on Managing train tickets bought at IRCTC .My name is Kannan Moudgalya.
00.09 In this tutorial, we will learn how to manage the earlier transactions of irctc. We will see how to check the status of tickets .
00.22 How to print a ticket, How to cancel a ticket, how to see the history of cancellation and automated Email of refund.
00.35 Their are private website for train ticket booking. We will see the few popular websites. We will compare them with IRCTC.
00.48 We will now see the pass bookings at IRCTC,let me login to irctc website.
01.13 Let me scroll down. Let me click the transaction link and you have booked history.
01.20 Lets go to booked history, it says enter the password. Let me enter the password . Press Go.
01.38 It says what is the PNR number. List of tickets is given here.
01.46 Let me click this and get PNR status. It says that wait listed , 162.
01.57 If you close this I can take a print out ,press this.
02.09 In this now if I say print it will go out and print it.
02.12 I have return to the slides. Let us go to the next slide .
02.17 We will now see how to cancel a ticket. Suppose I want to cancel this ticket what do I do.
02.24 So lets cancel this ticket okay. So I wants to cancel this let me select this .
02.44 I don't want this ticket. It says select for cancel, the reason why you have to select is that sometimes you may book the ticket for more than 1 person to travel.
03.07 It is possible to cancel partially, Suppose 2 people travel and you want to cancel the ticket of any one person.
03.14 You check the box of only that person . So lets click this and then cancel the ticket.
03.22 Now it says Are you sure you want to cancel the E-ticket I say okay.
03.32 Okay it say that cancellation status details. It says cash deducted 20 rupees.
03.39 Cash paid Rs.89. Actually I paid 10 rupees for the on line services. Cash deducted 20 rupees.
03.46 I got the cash refunded of rupees 69 and note that it will be paid to the account from which the money came original
03.57 If you want I can take out print out. I can go back to the history I have returned to the slide.
04.07 Let us go to the next slide. I will now explain how to see the history of cancellation.
04.17 So again now what I can do is, I can look at cancel the history.
04.23 So let me enter my password . Press Go. It says that the history for the canceled PNR will be available following day of cancellation alright.
04.47 But it seemed to showing immediately. So all the canceled ticket will be listed here.
04.53 I have returned to the slides. Let us go to the next slide .
04.59 I will now show the Automated Email of refund I have already opened this email .
05.09 It says that, Rs.69 will be refunded for the PNR given here.

05.26 Their are some useful private website for train booking.

06.03 What are the advantages of irctc ? Not all trains are listed in private website.
06.10 Private websites are more expensive about Rs. 20.
06.15 Private website open late in the morning only a shorter time interval is available on Private website than irctc was open in 8 am private website open at 10 am.
06.29 For e.g We will now see the advantages of private websites.
06.36 Sometimes private websites are faster than irctc . The private website help book flight and also buses.
06.47 As a result all travel information can be maintained in one place.
06.52 Private website may also remember previous searches.
06.58 Personally in my case I use both irctc and private website .
