00:00 Hello Everybody.
00:02 Welcome to this Geogebra tutorial on the Export feature in GeoGebra.
00:07 If this is the first time you are using Geogebra,
00:10 please watch the “Introduction to GeoGebra” tutorial on the Spoken Tutorial website.
00:17 In this tutorial,
00:18 we will learn about the Export feature in GeoGebra.


00:22 To Export the drawing pad figures as a static picture
00:26 And Export the GeoGebra file as a dynamic HTML webpage
00:31 To get started with Geogebra, I am using the
00:34 GNU/Linux operating system Ubuntu Version 10.04 LTS
00.39 and the Geogebra version 3.2.40.0
00:44 Now to the GeoGebra Window.
00:48 Open any GeoGebra file that you have already created by selecting menu option File and Open.


00.57 Let us select ConcentricCircles.ggb and click open
01:04 Let us close the Algebra and Spreadsheet Views if they are open by selecting menu option View and unchecking the options.
01:16 We can use the Move Graphics View tool and position the drawing pad objects.
01:22 You can choose to select objects to export, or you may export the entire drawing pad if you don't select any of the objects
01:32 Select menu option File>> Export>> Graphics View as Picture
01:40 Select the format of the file you want to export , let us select png.
01:48 You can change the Scale here, we will leave the default values
01:53 You can increase or decrease the Resolution here.
01:58 Click Save.
02.01 Select the folder name here, select the file name.
02:07 The File type is already here png , and click Save.
02:15 To Summarise,
02:17 Select the objects on the drawing pad, or leave it unselected to export the entire drawing pad
02:26 Select the menu option File >Export > Graphics View as Picture.
02:33 Choose the Format, Scale and Resolution and save the exported file.
02:40 Now to the second part of the lesson.
02:45 To export Geogebra as a dynamic webpage.
02:49 Let us first open a GeoGebra file for example
02:53 Interior Angles.ggb,
02.59 Now select menu option File, Export >> Dynamic Worksheet as webpage
03:09 A box appears.


03:12 Enter the Title, Author name and Date


03:18 There are two tabs the general and the advanced
03:22 In the General Tab you can enter the text you want to above the construction and below the construction.


03:30 Let us add this text to appear above the construction
03:37 I will cut and paste the information by pressing CTRL +C on the keyboard
03:43 And then CTRL+V again on the keyboard.
03:48 Move the vertices of the triangle and , “Observe the values of the interior angles of the triangle
03:56 Now below the construction add Observe what happen when A, B and C are on a straight line by dragging the vertices.
04:08 Now to the Advanced Tab


04:10 There are a number of check boxes that add features and options of GeoGebra to include as part of the GeoGebra page.
04:18 To enable right-click features on the webpage, check this
04:23 To enable moving labels, check this
04:28 To have an icon that resets the construction to the original position, check this
04:35 If you want GeoGebra application window to open on your computer when you double click on the GeoGebra webpage check this
04:45 If you want the Menu bar, Tool bar and Input bar or Save and Print features to appear to your webpage, Select the appropriate boxes here
04:56 You can change the width and the height of the GeoGebra window, that appears on the webpage here
05:03 Select Export and Save it as an html file,to view in the browser
05:11 As I use Firefox web browser, it immediately opens once I export it.


05:22 You can notice the text above the construction as well as below the construction.
05:29 You can move the vertices as this is a dynamic web page and observe the changes to the figure.

05:39 Open a GeoGebra file that you have already created , select Menu option File >Export > Dynamic Worksheet as webpage
05:50 Choose the Title, Text and Advanced features and Export your GeoGebra file as a webpage, html file
06:01 View the html file using a web browser.


06:05 You may need to install java for Geogebra to work on a web browser
06:11 Now to the assignment –
06:13 Open any GeoGebra file and export as a Static picture by selecting certain objects or the whole drawing pad
06:24 and as a Dynamic web page.
