Title slide: "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence"

Welcome to this Spoken Tutorial on Introduction to Artificial Intelligence.
Slide 2

Learning Objectives

Montage of popular apps (YouTube, Maps, Photos)

Include disclaimer at the bottom of the slide

In this tutorial, you will learn:

About Artificial Intelligence.

To identify common real-world examples of Artificial Intelligence applications.

Disclaimer Content Slide As AI tools constantly evolve, if you are unable to locate any icon or encounter difficulty at any step, you may use any conversational AI Chatbot for guidance.
Slide 3

System Requirements

A computer, laptop, or smartphone

Stable internet connection

Updated web browser: Chrome, Edge, or Firefox

Here I am using the following setup.

No coding or technical knowledge is required for this tutorial.

Artificial Intelligence- Graphics

AI makes computers think and learn just like humans.

It helps the machine to;

understand information

learn from existing data

analyze data

make decisions

Let's begin.

Artificial Intelligence or simply AI makes computers think and learn just like us.

It helps the machine to:

understand information

learn from existing data

analyze data and

make smart decisions.

Slide 5

Montage of popular apps

We all use AI every day, without even realising it.

AI has changed the way we live, learn and work.

Graphic

Show YouTube app icon

Let's understand AI with a familiar example — YouTube.
Demo

Click to open YouTube app icon

Open YouTube on your phone or computer.
Demo

User types a video name in the search bar

Now search for a video you want to watch.

Type the name of the video here.

Video starts playing List of videos will appear.

Locate the video you want to watch.

Click on its thumbnail.

The video starts to play.

YouTube "Recommended for you" panel appears Did you notice how YouTube, after some time, suggests more videos?
Close-up of recommendation panel These recommendations are not random.

AI is working here.

On screen, highlight

history

likes

and viewing time.

At the bottom of the screen show the following Flowchart: user data → AI model → suggestions.

YouTube collects information such as watch history, likes, and viewing time.
Graphic

Highlight the AI model in the above flowchart

AI compares your choices with millions of other users.
Graphic

Highlight the recommended videos on screen

It predicts what you may enjoy next and shows personalized recommendations.
Pause icon overlay on screen Pause this tutorial and open YouTube.

Look closely at the suggestions.

Transition slide: "Another everyday AI tool → Google Maps" Now, let's explore another daily tool — Google Maps.
Google Maps app icon If you don't have it, download Google Maps from the app store.
User opens Google Maps Open Google Maps on your phone.
User types "Home" and "shop" in the search bar Suppose I want to travel from my home to a nearby shop.

So I will type the locations as shown here and Click on Start.

Map shows multiple routes Google Maps shows different route options.
Map shows estimated travel times It also shows the time needed for each route.
Overlay text: "AI at work" This is AI predicting traffic using real-time data.
Diagram: data from phones → AI model → best route AI collects speed and traffic data and analyzes the patterns.
Map highlights the fastest route Then it predicts the best route and gives it to you.
Pause icon overlay Pause this tutorial now and try typing two locations on your phone.
User interacts with the app Notice how the app suggests routes and travel times.
Assignment slide: "Your Turn!" Now, let's try a quick activity.
Google Photos app icon Open the Google Photos app on your phone.

Download it if needed.

Photos grouped by faces in gallery view Observe how AI is working here?

Did you notice how the app groups photos by faces or events?

Text overlay: "Observe. Think. Note." Think and note down what you observed.
Summary slide Let's summarize what we learnt:

AI helps YouTube in analyzing our activities and suggests relevant videos.

AI is used to predict traffic and suggest alternate routes in Google Maps.

AI can be used to organize pictures automatically, as in Google Photos.

AI is quietly working behind many of the tools we use every day.
Assignment slide:

Look at the apps you use today

Observe them carefully

Spot two AI examples in each

Think about how AI works, and note your observations.

Now, here's an assignment for you.
