Here are the prerequisites to learn this video. |
| Login as admin | We are logged in as the Admin user. |
| Screen: Site administration >> Users >> Add a new user | Let us begin with adding a new user.
Click on Site administration, Users, and Add a new user. |
| Click Expand All | Click on Expand All option. |
| Type nitya.jeevan | First type your username. |
| Point to Authentication Method >> Manual accounts
Click the dropdown to open it |
Authentication Method shows Manual accounts because we are adding this user manually.
Click the dropdown to view the other options. |
| Point to Generate password and notify user | Notice Generate password and notify user.
If checked, a system-generated password will be emailed to this user along with a notification. |
| New password >> Sample@123
Click the eye icon |
Type in a new password for this new user.
Follow standard password rules. Click the eye icon to read the typed password. |
| Select Force password change box | Selecting Force password change box is recommended.
It forces the user to change their password when he/she first logs in. |

Fill in the mandatory fields like First name, Last name, and Email id. |

| Click "Create user" | After filling in the required fields, click Create user. |
| Point to Nitya | The new user Nitya is seen in the user list. |
| Click on Filters >> select Contains >> type Nitya in First name field >> close Filters | To edit a user, we will use the filter options to search for Nitya. |
| Screen: Edit user profile >> Add city and country >> click on Update profile. | Next to her name, click the Actions menu and then on Edit.
Add or update any detail and click on Update profile. |

Select the CSV file and upload it. |
| Screen: Confirm upload results | Moodle will show a preview list of new users.
You can verify that Joy David and Mahima Singh are added. |
| Scroll down >> click on "Upload users" | Scroll down and click on Upload users. |
| Highlight on the screen | It says here - Invalid password policy.
Which means, we have to give a better password. |
| username >> joy.david | Under username, click on joy.david |
| Click Edit profile >> change the password to David@123 >> Update profile. | Then click Edit profile.
Change the password to David@123 and Update profile. |
| Click on Users in the breadcrumbs. | |
