Login with Superlibrarian account

Username - Bella

Password - Library@1

Choose Library as Spoken Tutorial Library

Click on Login

To check expiration and renew serial I have already logged in as Superlibrarian.
On Koha staff interface>>click on Serials module On the Koha staff interface click on the Serials module.
Cursor on Serials

Click on Check expiration

The Serials page opens.

Under the Serials menu, on the left side, click on the Check expiration option.

Check expiration page The Check expiration page opens.

Here, we can check the journal expiration details.

Expiring before: 01/02/2026

Under the Filter results section let us fill in the details for-

Title, ISSN, Library and Expiring before as shown here.

We will also mark the checkbox for Include expiration before today.

Click on the Search

Cursor on Your search returned 1 subscription expiring before 01/02/2026.

Next click on the Search button at the bottom of the page.

This will fetch the details of the journal.

Now scroll down to see the search results.

It says Your search returned 1 subscription expiring before 01/02/2026.

Actions: edit/renew

Also we can see a table with journal details.

It shows the ISSN, Title, Library, OPAC note, Nonpublic note and Expiration date.

The last column Actions provides the option to edit or renew the journal.

Narration only To check all journals expiry date fill in the Expiring before field only and click on Search.

It will fetch the list of all journals that would expire before that particular date.

Cursor on Actions >> Renew To renew the journal under the Actions column click on the button Renew.

Enter- 01/02/2026

On this page enter the Start Date as shown here.

Koha by default selects 4 as issues.

Next is the Subscription length field.

It is suggested to fill in one of the three fields, namely-

issues, weeks and months.

As my journal is a quarterly publication, Koha by default has selected 4 as issues.

Click on Submit Next, click on the Submit button at the bottom of the window.
Cursor on Subscription renewed The Serials subscription renew window opens with the message Subscription renewed.
Click on Close window To close this window go to the bottom of the window and click on Close window.
