Point to the center pane. | In the center, we see the Workspace, which is our working area. |
Narration only: | We can customize the view of the Workspace based on our preferences. |
Click on View -> | To do so, click on the View menu in the menu bar. |
Point to View Tab Bar. | Then select the View Tab Bar option. |
Point to the 4 tabs at the top of the Workspace pane. | At the top, the Workspace has 4 tabs called ‘View buttons’. |
Point to the Normal tab. | By default, the Normal tab is selected.

Click on the Outline tab. | Outline tab shows topic titles, bulleted, and numbered lists for each slide in outline format. |
Click on the Notes tab. | Notes tab lets you add notes to each slide.

Click on the Slide Sorter tab. | Slide Sorter tab shows thumbnails of slides. |
Click on the Normal tab. | Let’s click on the Normal tab again. |
Click on the Display Views -> Hover the mouse on icons. | Another way to access these is by clicking on the Display Views icon in the Standard toolbar.

Point to the Slides pane on the left of the screen.
|
On the left-hand side of the screen is the Slides Pane.
It contains thumbnails of the slides in the presentation. |
Point to the Sidebar on the right of the screen.
|
On the right-hand side is the Sidebar,
It has 7 sections. |
Click on the Properties.
|
In the Sidebar, click on the first section named ‘Properties’
We can use these layouts directly or modify them as per our requirements. |
Point to the 7 sections again. | We shall see each of these sections in detail as we progress through the series. |

Let’s close the Properties section.
|
Click on the 2nd slide.
|
Now, let’s add some content to the 2nd empty slide.
Click on the 2nd slide in the Slides Pane.
|
Click on ‘Click to add Text’ textbox and type
Explain the long term course to follow |
Then click on the textbox that says ‘Click to add Text’.
And type the following text: Summarize the main plans Explain the long term course to follow. |
Press Ctrl+A to select all sentences. |
Let us add bullet points to the content in the Body textbox.

Click on the Properties.
|
Then click on the Properties section.
|
Click on ‘x’ at the top right corner of the Properties section. | Let’s close the Properties section. |

Let’s look at the first way. |
Click on ‘slide 2’ in the Slides Pane. | Select slide 2 in the Slides Pane, by clicking on it. |

If you have resized your LibreOffice window, some of the icons may not be visible.

Go to the Standard Toolbar-> New Slide icon. | Click on the New Slide icon in the Standard Toolbar. |
Point to a new slide in the Slide Pane. | A new blank slide gets inserted after slide 2. |
Click on the Slide menu -> New Slide.
Point to the new blank slide in Slides Pane. |
Let me show you another way to add a new slide.
And then on the New Slide option.

Select slide 3.

Select the slide 3 in the Slides Pane.

Select slide 4.
|
Likewise, set the title for the 4th slide as “Long Term Goal”. |
Narration only: | Now, let us learn how to copy a slide.

Click on ‘slide 3’ in the Slides Pane. | Let’s look at the first way.

Go to the Standard Toolbar-> Duplicate Slide icon.
|
Click on the Duplicate Slide icon in the Standard Toolbar.
A new duplicate slide gets inserted after slide 3. |
Click on the Slide menu-> Duplicate Slide.

Alternatively, click on the Slide menu in the menu bar
And then on the Duplicate Slide option.

Narration only: | Now, let’s learn about fonts and how to format fonts. |
Click on the slide ‘Overview’ in Slides Pane.
Select the second line of text. |
Click on the slide titled ‘Overview’ in the Slides Pane.

Go to the Sidebar >> Properties >> Character.
|
Go to the Sidebar and click on the Properties icon.
|
Select 32 from the Font size drop-down
|
Then change the Font size from “26” to “32”.

Narration only: | Next, let’s change the color of the font. |
Click on the Body textbox and select all the text. | Click on the Body textbox and select all the text by pressing Ctrl+A keys. |
Go to the Sidebar >> Properties
Go to Character >> Font color >>

In the Character property, go to the Font Color icon.

Click on the Title textbox and select the text.
Point to the text. |
Now, click on the Title textbox and select the entire text.
Now, let’s click on the icons for Italics and Underline.

Narration only | Finally, we will learn to delete a slide from the presentation.

In Slide Pane >>select slide 5
|
First way is to select a slide, say slide 5 in the Slide Pane.

In Slide Pane >>select slide 5
Press Delete key |
Second way is to select a slide, say slide 4 In the Slide Pane.

Go to the Standard toolbar -> Save.
|
Let us save all the changes we made in our presentation by clicking on the Save icon.
