Type “SPOKEN” | Select the Text tool and type the word “SPOKEN”.

Zoom in to the text for clarity | Let me zoom in to the text, so that we can see the demo clearly. |
Click on Object menu >> Fill and Stroke | Now, go to Object menu and select Fill and Stroke option. |
Click on Linear gradient >> Change color to red and black | Then, under the Fill tab, click on Linear gradient.
|
Align the gradient in vertical manner | Align the gradient vertically.

Click on Selector tool >> Press Ctrl + D | Click on the Selector tool and press Ctrl + D to duplicate the text. |
Press V | Now, press V on the keyboard, to flip the duplicated text.

Move the duplicated text | Now, we will move the duplicated text below the original text such that it appears as a mirror image. |
Select Gradient tool >> bottom gradient handle | Now, select the Gradient tool and click on the bottom gradient handle. |
Fill and Stroke >> change Alpha to 0 >> move the bottom handle up a bit | Come back to the Fill and Stroke dialog box.
Here, we will change the Alpha value to 0.

Reduce the opacity to 80 | Click on the Selector tool.

Point to the text | Our reflected text is complete now.

Create a green color rectangle >> Change alpha to 255 | First of all, we will create a rectangle in green color.
Change it to 255 and press Enter. |
Type “SPOKEN TUTORIAL”
Make it Bold |
Now, type the text “SPOKEN TUTORIAL” on the rectangle. |
Click on Selector tool >> resize the rectangle. | Click on the Selector tool and change the size of the rectangle according to the text. |
Select the text >> Press Ctrl + D | Next, select the text.
Now, press Ctrl + D to duplicate the text.

Change text color to white | Change the color of the text to white. |
Go to Path >> Object to path | Then go to Path menu and click on Object to path option. |
Go to Object >> Ungroup | Now click on Object menu and then on Ungroup option. |
Go to Path >> Union | Again go to Path menu and click on Union option. |
Click on Lower selection one step | On the Tool controls bar, click on Lower selection one step icon. |
Go to Path >> Linked offset | Once again, go to Path menu and this time we will click on Linked offset option. |
Click on the white dot and drag | Click on the handle that appears on the text and drag it to make the outline bigger. |
Click on Selector tool
Click on text and move |
Click on the Selector tool.

Point to the second text.
Click on text and delete it |
Observe, there is another text created. Select the text and delete it. |
Select the outline part >> Click on Nodes tool | Now, select the outline part and click on the Nodes tool. |
Click on Selected object to path tool. | On the Tool controls bar, click on Convert selected object to path tool. |
Delete the unwanted parts | Now you can see the nodes on the outline.

Select the outline part | Click on the Selector tool again and move the text back to its original position. |
Select text and change color to green | Change the color of the text to green. |
Press Ctrl + D
Change the color to black |
Select the outline part and press Ctrl + D to duplicate it.
Once again, remember that the duplicate outline is exactly above the original.

In Tool controls bar >> click on Lower selection one step icon three times | Then on the Tool controls bar, click on Lower selection one step icon three times. |
In the Fill and stroke dialog box >> reduce opacity to 60 | Lastly, in the Fill and stroke dialog box,

After doing this, we will make a hanger for the label. | |
Click on Ellipse tool >> draw a circle. | So, click on the Ellipse tool.

Press Ctrl + D
Move the circle to another end |
Press Ctrl + D to duplicate the circle.

Create thread using Bezier tool | Next, click on the Bezier tool and draw a curvy line, as demonstrated.

Stroke style >> change the width to 5. | In the Fill and stroke dialog box, under Stroke style, change the width to 5. |
Point to the text | Now our labeled text is ready.

Next, let us learn how to change the case of the text in Inkscape. | |
Type spoken on the canvas | Click on the Text tool and type alphabets on the canvas.

Go to Extensions menu >> Text >> Change Case | Now, go to Extensions menu.

Click on UPPERCASE | Let me click on the option UPPERCASE.

Go to Extensions menu >> Text >> Change Case | Again click on the text.

Select Random Case | This time, select Random Case option.
