Switch to slide 1 Welcome to Spoken-tutorial . In the coming few minutes we will talk on the interface of Moodle and creation of accounts in Moodle .
Switch to slide 2 The Moodle front page contains the site news and the course that you are teaching or reading . On the left side of the page you will see several useful blocks installed by default on a Moodle server
Switch to slide 3 To create a new account click on the ‘login’ link places just above the languages pane .
Switch to slide 4 Click the “Create new account” button on the right hand side.

 Fill in the new account form by creating a username and password for yourself . For example username : Steve Jobs , password : 121-applelaptop

Switch to slide 5 Enter a valid email address. The system will send you an email to confirm your

account. You won’t be able to log in again until you confirm your account.

Click “Create my new account.”

Switch to slide 6 Within a few minutes, you should receive an email at the account you specified on the form. Click the link in the email (or copy and paste it into the address window in your browser) to confirm your account.
Switch to slide 7 Once you have successfully confirmed your account and logged in the ‘login’ link would turn into “you are logged in as” and your name . This will be your default profile page . Example : you are logged in as Steve Jobs.

To edit your profile first Select the “Edit profile” tab in your personal profile page . The profile options with a red star next to them are required fields; they must contain some data in order for you to submit the form.

On the right side of the profile form, you’ll see a Show Advanced button. These are not changed very often .

If you wish, you can change the first name and surname the system has stored for

you. For example first name : Steven , Surname: Jobs .

You can edit any of the following fields – E-Mail address ,display , activation status Location (city,town,country) ,preferred language , timezone and description .

In the advanced mode that is after clicking the show advanced button we get :

E-Mail format ,forum auto-subscribe ,forum tracking ,ajax and javascript ,and screen reader as extra .

When you are done click the “update profile” button at the bottom of the page .
