User is in User page Now, we are in the user page. Let us see how to create text in bold.
Show wiki page, roll the cursor to the top of the page, click edit. Select letter B in the editing toolbar which is the first icon in the editing toolbar. To bold the text in wiki,Select the desired text and then click on Button B in the editing toolbar. It is the first icon in the editing toolbar. Let us try out an example to Write Education in bold. Please type the word "Education". Select the word

"Education" and click the B button. You will notice that there are 3 single quotes ''' that enclose the word. Alternately, you could just type 3 ''' three single quotation instead of clicking on the button B

Scroll to bottom of the page and click on "Save Page" Please scroll down and click on Save Page button, Notice that the word Education is in Bold.
Let us see how to create text in Italics. Let us type some more text and make it in italics
Show wiki page, roll the cursor to the top of the page, click edit. Select letter I in the formatting/editing toolbar which is the next to the bold button in the formatting/editing toolbar. Lets write technology. Select the word and click on the button I. This makes the text in italics. It encloses two single quotes on both sides of the text. Let us see how it is displayed after we save the page.
Scroll to bottom of the page and click on "Save Page" Please scroll down and click on Save Page button, Notice that the word Technology is in Italic where as the word Education is in Bold
Now let us learn how to create line breaks in wiki.
Show wiki page, roll the cursor to the top of the page, click edit. We can give line breaks in 2 ways. We have seen one way of doing it which giving an extra line space between the two lines. Please notice that there is an extra line space between the words "Education" and "Technology".

Second way of doing it is by using break.

Show wiki page, roll the cursor to the top of the page, click edit. Let us see an example. click edit tab by going to the top of the wiki page. Type some text

For Example
Line 3 Line 4 . How do we give the line space? We use <br>.

Scroll to bottom of the page and click on "Save Page" Lets save the page and see how it is displayed.
Line3
Line4

Notice that there is a line spacing between the words "Education" and "Technology" and also between line 3 and Line4. But br gives slightly smaller line space.

Show wiki page, roll the cursor to the top of the page, click edit. We can also have indentation to the text in wiki. To have an indented space, we have to give ": " Colon before the text.

Lets see an example.

We can create indentation by giving : in front of the word that you want to indent. I am typing : India.

: India Level 1 Indented space

We can also have multiple levels of indentation. :: means two levels of indentations.

For Example:

:: Andhra Pradesh Level 2 Indented space

::: Hyderabad Level 3 Indented space

Scroll to bottom of the page and click on "Save Page" Please scroll down and save the page. Notice that there is indentations at different levels. 1 at Indian, 2 at Andhra Pradesh and 3 at Hyderabad.
India
Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad
Show wiki page, roll the cursor to the top of the page, click edit. Select button ---- in the formatting/editing toolbar which is next to the signature button in the formatting/editing toolbar. Let us see how to create Horizantal line. It is used to separate text into different sections but it should be used sparsely. Notice that there is a Horizontal line button in the extreme right in the editing toolbar. It gives 4 hypens----. This is used to create a horizontal line.

I can write some more text here. I am writing "this text appears below the horizontal line" and save page..

Scroll to bottom of the page and click on "Save Page" Please click on Save Page button, you will be able to see horizontal line.

Show Slide 7 -Summary slide In summary, We can apply formatting to the text into bold by using b, italics by i. Give indentation by using : and create line spaces using br. We can separate the text using Horizontal lines 4 hypens.
Show slide 8 titled Acknowledgements
