Scene: Three students- Rahul, Priya, and Rani - working on a group project Let’s meet Rahul, Priya, and Rani.

They are working together on a group project.

Visual: Calendar shows submission date approaching The time to submit the project is near.

Rani hasn’t submitted her part of the work yet.

Rahul frowning, looking frustrated Rahul gets upset and says, “Rani is irresponsible.

We can’t rely on her.”

Priya looking concerned Priya says softly, “Maybe she’s having a hard time.

Let’s ask her if she needs any help.”

Text on screen: “Same event. Different interpretations.” Did you notice?

The event is the same, but the interpretation is different.

Visual: Notebook shows two lines: “Reality” and “Interpretation.” Let’s pause and understand this.

The reality is simple.

Rani submitted her work late.

Text highlight: “Interpretation 1 – She’s careless.” “Interpretation 2 – She might be struggling.” Rahul thinks, “She is careless.”

Priya thinks, “She might be struggling with something else.”

Visual: Brain icons over each — showing “Beliefs” shaping thoughts. Why do Rahul and Priya see the same event so differently?

Because their beliefs are different.

Flashback 1: Rahul as a child being praised for punctuality Maybe Rahul grew up in a family that values discipline.

For him, being on time means respect and responsibility.

Flashback 2: Priya comforting a friend, learning empathy Priya grew up watching her mother care for others, even when they made mistakes.

For her, being kind mattered more than following rules perfectly.

Visual: Two colored lenses over eyes — blue for Rahul, green for Priya Beliefs act like lenses through which people see the world.
Text animation: “Beliefs → Interpretation → Emotion.” Our beliefs decide how we interpret events and how we feel about them.
Visual: Rahul angry, Priya calm The outcome of Rahul’s belief is anger.

The outcome of Priya’s belief is concern.

Visual montage: parents, teachers, movies, childhood scenes Each experience we live adds a new layer to the lens through which we see others

Our beliefs keep evolving as we live, learn, and meet new people.

Scene: Later that day, Rani explains she was caring for her sick mother Later that evening, Rani says, “I’m sorry.

My mother has been unwell, so I couldn’t focus on the project.”

Visual: Rahul looks surprised, then thoughtful On hearing this, Rahul's anger vanished.

He understood that Rani was going through a tough time.

Text: “Understanding replaces judgment.” When we understand someone instead of judging them, it is empathy.
Visual: Rahul, Priya, and Rani smiling, working together again Empathy doesn’t mean we agree with someone.

It means that we understand their position and what they are going through.

Title: Empathy connects people Rahul decides to support Rani.

He asks sir, her if he can help her complete her part of the project.

When we show empathy, we turn conflict into cooperation.

We turn blame into support.

We build stronger relationships.
