Click on View and select Standard View.

Isometric view is a 2D representation of a 3D object aligned to 3 axes. |
Create a rectangle and select it. | Let’s draw a cube.

Select Property tab.

Go to the Property tab in the left panel.

Scroll down.

Draw a circle on the canvas. Select the circle. Uncheck the box for Filled in the left panel. |

Click on the line tool. | Click on the line tool again. |
Draw a line from the center of the circle to upward direction. | Draw a line from the center of the circle to upwards. |
Scroll down to the length form.

In the property tab in the data panel, scroll down to the length form. |
Type 90 for length and press the Enter key. | Type 90 for the length of the cylinder and press the Enter key. |
Go to Draw style pulldown in the object style section.

Now select the circle and click on the move tool.

Click on Circle tool.

Next let’s draw a cone.

Move the cursor to the canvas.

All the entities for cylinder are selected. | Notice that 5 entities are checked in the left hand panel and in the canvas. |
Click on the move tool and check the box for Copy. | Click on the move tool and check the box for Copy. |
Drag out a copy of the entities together in the canvas. | Drag out a copy of the entities together in the canvas. |
Select and delete the top face and the 2 side projector lines. | Select and delete the top face and the 2 side projector lines. |
Enable the snap angle tool.

Click on the ellipse tool. | Next let’s draw an ellipse.

Move the cursor to the canvas, click hold and drag to draw ellipse. | Move the cursor to the canvas, click hold and drag.

Type 50 in the form for Dx, press the tab key and type 60 for Dy.

In the left hand panel, change the values for delta x(Dx) and delta y(Dy).

Press the Enter key. | The value for delta z(Dz) gets highlighted.

Click on Edit, box selection and select the cone. | Now do a box selection for the entities in the cone.
That is I am selecting all the entities that make up the cone. |
Cursor on any name of the selected entities in left panel.

Move the cursor to the multiple selected objects on the left panel.

Select Add a named group option.

Select Add a named group option.
Dialog box opens. Add a group dialog box appears.

A new group named cone appears.

Cursor on canvas. | Next, let’s learn to export our drawings to user friendly formats. |
Select the cylinder using box selection method. | First select the objects that we want to export.

Click on File, Export and a dialog box opens. | Click on File, Export and a dialog box opens. |
Click on type of file pulldown.
Scroll to show the various options.

Choose the type of file first. Click on it.
Notice a wide variety of options.
|
Cursor on png, svg, pdf options. | Formats such as images and pdfs are also available for the choice of users. |
Cursor on file name, path and Save option. | Give a file name and path of your choice and click on export to save the file.
|
Click on cancel for now. | I will click on cancel for now. |
Save your work if desired and exit FreeCAD. | |
