Open a new draw file

Go to Standard toolbar >> Click on the Insert text box icon >> Draw a box by clicking and dragging. | Draw a textbox at the top of the page. |
Enter the text
Geometric Shapes in 2D and 3D inside it. |
Type the text "Geometric shapes in 2D and 3D" inside the box. |
Press Ctrl + A keys | Press Ctrl + A keys to select the entire text. |

Go to Fill Color in the drawing toolbar >> select Light Red 4. | Now we will change the colour of all the objects.

Use the CTRL + C keys and create a copy of the objects.

Next, let’s copy and paste the objects by pressing Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V keys. |

Similarly, convert the copied square, circle and triangle into 3D objects. |
Double click on the box rectangle and
Type the name as Rectangle.

Let’s type “Rectangle” inside the rectangle shape on the left.

Draw a textbox inside the cuboid |
Click on the Insert Text Box icon and draw a textbox inside the cuboid. |
Type the text Cuboid inside it. | Type the text "Cuboid" inside it. |
Select the textbox and the cuboid.

The textbox and the cuboid are treated as two separate objects.

Click on the Insert Text Box icon >>
Draw a textbox inside the Cube.
Draw a textbox inside the Cylinder. Click on the Insert Text Box icon >> Draw a textbox inside the Pyramid. |
Similarly, draw textboxes for the other 3D objects.

Group each object and textbox. | Let us group the objects as shown before. |
Point to the 3D objects. | So, we have learnt to use the extrusion method to create 3D objects from 2D objects. |

On the left side page right-click and select >> New page | Let’s insert a new page in our Draw file. |
Select Cone from the 3D-Objects toolbar. | Select a shape from the 3D-Objects toolbar, say, a Cone. |
Move the mouse to the page and drag it on the page. | Then draw it on the page.
We have a 3D cone in gradient colour, on our page! |

Select the Pages pane >> right-click and select >> New Page. | Let’s insert a new page. |
In the drawing toolbar select Rectangle, Rounded move the mouse on the page.
Draw a rounded rectangle. |
Let us draw a rounded rectangle on the Draw page.
Select the Rounded, Rectangle tool and draw the shape on the Draw page. |
From the Main menu select Edit >> click Duplicate. | From the Main menu, select Shape and click on Duplicate. |
The Duplicate dialog box appears. | The Duplicate dialog box appears. |

Width = 0.20 Height = 0.30 Change Start color = Yellow End color = Red |
We will keep the Enlargement values as default.
Now we will change the Start color to Yellow and End color to Red. |

Click on Insert Basic Shapes >> click and drag to draw Diamond.
Click on Insert Basic Shapes >> click and drag to draw Ellipse. |
Let us draw a diamond and an ellipse using Insert basic shapes.

Click on Fill Color >> Select Red >> click on Diamond.
Click on Fill Color >> Select Green >> click on Ellipse. |
Let us change the colour of the diamond to red and the ellipse to green. |
Select both the shapes >> click on Shape. | Select both the shapes.
From the main menu select Shape and go to Cross-fading. |
Default Increment value 16.

The Cross-fading dialog box opens.

Click on the OK button. | Then click on the OK button in the box. |
Point to the cross-fading. | Observe the effect of Cross-fading on the objects. |
Press Ctrl + Z keys | Undo the changes by pressing Ctrl + Z keys. |
Select both the shapes >> click on Shape. | Select both the shapes once again.

Uncheck one box and click on OK. | Uncheck the checkboxes and observe the differences on the Draw page. |
Click on the Save icon -> Click on the ‘X’ icon on the top right. | Let’s save all these changes and then close the file. |
