  • Concept map was developed by Prof. J. D. Novak as a learning tool.
  • It connects ideas and concepts with their reason for connection.
  • Ideas can be arranged with hierarchy or using connecting lines.

  • It is a free and open source software to create a concept map or mind map.
  • Java is required to run Freeplane.

If an issue is noticed in the software, it can be reported to the developers.
