Essential data to be filled before an ECG

Hello (or any preferred greeting) and welcome to this tutorial on essential data to be filled before an ECG.


Learning Objectives In this tutorial we will learn to -
  1. Fill essential data in the STEMI App before an ECG


System Requirements To practise this tutorial, you will need -
  1. An Android tablet with STEMI App installed on it and
  2. A working Internet connection


Pre-requisites Earlier in this series, we had learnt
  • to login and logout of the STEMI App and
  • to enter data in mandatory fields in the STEMI App


Pre-requisites Before we begin, please ensure that the ECG device is connected
  • to the patient and
  • to the STEMI device.


Switch to STEMI device homepage We are now in the STEMI Homepage.
Select ECG tab In case of a medical emergency, select the ECG tab, to take an ECG quickly, with minimal data entry.
Let’s assume a patient and enter the following data.
Type the following details

Patient Name: Ramesh

Age: 53

Gender: Male

Admission: Direct

Patient Name: Ramesh

Age: 53

Gender: Male

Admission: Direct

These four fields are common to all users, irrespective of the type of Hospital login.
The advantage is that we only have to enter data in the four fields, as shown here.
Select Take ECG tab Then we can quickly move on to take an ECG by selecting Take ECG button, at the bottom of the page.
Saved Successfully pop - up By selecting the Take ECG button, the patient’s personal details that we entered, gets saved.

And immediately, the “Saved Successfully” message appears at the bottom of the page.

ECG live stream page The device now takes us to the ECG live stream page and we are all set to take an ECG.
One can also take an ECG quickly at any point of data entry.
Under New Patient tab >> click the ECG button Under New Patient tab in the Homepage, click the ECG button on the top right hand side of the page.
ECG live stream page When we click this ECG button, we are directly taken to the ECG live stream page.
