00:01 Welcome to the Spoken Tutorial on Set Currency.
00:06 In this tutorial, we will learn how to set Currency in Koha.

Ubuntu Linux OS 16.04 and

Koha version 16.05.

00:27 To follow this tutorial, you should have knowledge of Library Science.
00:33 To practice this tutorial, you should have Koha installed on your system.

And, you should have Admin access in Koha.

00:59 Then click on Koha Administration.
01:04 A new page opens up.
01:07 Under the section Acquisition parameters, click on Currencies and exchange rates.
01:16 Note that this data is not updated automatically.
01:21 Therefore, it is important to update the data. This will also help to keep the correct accounting details.
01:31 Now, click on plus New currency.
01:36 In the new page that opens, fill in the mandatory details like-

Currency:, Rate: and Symbol:.

01:48 Since my library is in India, I will enter Rupee for Currency,

the Rupee (₹) symbol.

02:01 Next, enter the ISO code: as INR.
02:06 To activate the currency, click the check-box.

Last updated shows the date of currency setup.

02:14 Click on Submit button at the bottom of the page.
02:20 In the new page that opens, under the tab Currency, the details for Rupee appears.
02:28 If the need be, the same can be edited as well.

02:42 Let’s go back to the Koha interface.
02:45 On the same page, click on the tab- Column visibility.
02:51 From the options, click on the tab ISO code.
