00:01 Welcome to the Spoken Tutorial on Global System Preferences.
00:07 In this tutorial, we will learn to set Global System Preferences to customize a Library OPAC.
00:16 To record this tutorial, I am using:

Ubuntu Linux OS 16.04 and

Koha version 16.05

00:27 To follow this tutorial, you should have knowledge of Library Science.
00:33 To practice this tutorial, You should have Koha installed on your system.
00:39 And, You should also have Admin access in Koha.
00:44 If not, please refer to the Koha Spoken Tutorial series on this website.
00:50 Let us begin.
00:52 Login as Superlibrarian Bella and her password.
00:58 On the Koha homepage, click on Koha administration.
01:04 Next, click on Global system preferences.
01:10 Acquisitions preferences page opens.
01:14 On the left side, locate and click on the tab Enhanced Content.
01:21 Enhanced Content preferences page opens up.
01:26 Under the section All, go to Preference.
01:31 For FRBR Editions, from the drop-down select Show.
01:38 For OPAC FRBR Editions, from the drop-down select Show.
01:45 Next, for Amazon, go to the tab Preference.
01:51 I will leave Amazon Tag as blank.
01:55 For AmazonCoverImages, from the drop-down select Show.
02:01 I will leave AmazonLocale as it is.
02:05 For OPACAmazonCoverImages, from the drop-down select Show.
02:13 Next, for HTML5 Media, under the tab Preference-
02:20 for HTML5MediaEnabled, from the drop-down select in OPAC and staff client.
02:30 Leave HTML5MediaExtensions as it is.
02:35 For HTML5MediaYouTube, select from the drop-down Embed.
02:43 Under the Library Thing, go to the tab Preference.
02:49 For ThingISBN, from the drop-down select Use.
02:55 After making all the necessary changes, save the page.
03:00 Do this by clicking on Save all Enhanced Content preferences at the top of the page.
03:09 Now, on the same page, go to the options on the left side of the page and click on OPAC.
03:19 The page OPAC preferences opens.
03:23 Under Appearance, go to the tab Preference.
03:30 For the LibraryName, enter the name of the respective Library.
03:35 I will type: Spoken Tutorial Library.
03:39 You must enter the Library name that you had created.
03:44 Next, go to OPACBaseURL and enter the domain name.

I will type this.

03:55 According to your preference, you may set the domain name for OPAC.
04:00 Next, for Opaccredits, click on Click to Edit.
04:07 Type the HTML tag for footer. I will type this.
04:14 Next comes Opacheader. Here, click on Click to Edit.
04:22 Type the HTML tag for header. I will type this.
04:29 Under the section Features, go to the tab Preference.
04:35 Next, go to OPACpatronimages and from the drop-down select Show.
04:43 Next, go to OpacResetPassword and from the drop-down select allowed.
04:53 Under the section Privacy, go to the tab Preference.
05:00 Next, go to OPACPrivacy and from the drop-down select Allow.
05:08 After making all the necessary changes, save the page.
05:13 Do this by clicking on Save all OPAC preferences at the top of the page.
05:21 Now, log out from your Koha Superlibrarian account.
05:27 To do so, first go to the top right corner. Click on Spoken Tutorial Library.
05:36 Then, from the drop-down, select Log out.
05:41 Now, for checking out the changes on the OPAC, I will open my Web Browser and type: http://127.0.1.1/8000
05:59 Please note - this URL is based on the port number and domain name given at the time of installation.
06:08 So, please type as per what you had mentioned. Then press Enter.
06:15 Now you can note the changes such as:

Title of the OPAC homepage- Welcome to Spoken Tutorial Library.
