About HTML

00:16 What is HTML?
00:18 HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language.
00:23 It is used to create web pages with the help of Markup tags
00:29 Markup tags will structure our content as per our requirement
00:35 It is used to publish our content on the Internet
00:39 HTML supports text, images, multimedia content, etc.
00:47 It is platform independent and hence works on all operating systems.
00:54 To work with HTML, we need-

A text editor or a WYSIWYG editor, in which to write our HTML code and understand HTML tags

01:08 A web browser to display the formatted content.
01:13 Throughout this series I will be using:
HTML5  gedit Text Editor
01:21 Firefox web browser and Ubuntu Linux 16.04 OS
01:29 Now, we will briefly go through some of the individual tutorials in this series.
01:36 In this tutorial we will learn the syntax and structure of HTML.
01:42 Then we’ll see how to create an HTML file and see the output on a web browser.
01:50 In the next tutorial, we will learn about HTML elements, tags and their attributes.
01:59 The next tutorial is Formatting Tags.
02:03 In this, we’ll see how to format our content using some of the basic formatting tags in HTML.
02:13 With the help of Styles and CSS tutorial, we can add more styles and decorate our content.

Formatting the contents in various list type can be achieved with the help of this tutorial.

Embedding Audio and Video.

02:47 We can embed multimedia content like images, audio and video in a webpage using these 2 tutorials.

With the help of this tutorial, learners can create webpages with proper design layout.
