Open jdk 9 and A working Internet connection.

00:51 To follow this tutorial learner should have knowledge of basic Mathematics.
00:57 Let us first see what is GeoGebra.
01:00 GeoGebra is a dynamic and interactive mathematics software for geometry, algebra and calculus.
01:08 It is useful for computer aided interactive learning.
01:12 It is a free/libre and open source cross-platform software.
01:17 Its code is written in Java programming environment.
01:22 Now we will learn about the GeoGebra website.
01:26 Open your default web browser.

In the address bar type: www.geogebra.org and press Enter.

01:37 This is the homepage of GeoGebra website.
01:41 Now we will see how to use the online GeoGebra Math Apps.
01:46 Click on the blue START GRAPHING button.
01:49 GeoGebra Graphic Calculator window opens in a new tab.
01:54 This is the interface of online GeoGebra window.
01:58 The interface has, Algebra icon to show Algebra view

02:17 Let us click on the Tools icon.
02:20 Geometric tools are displayed on the left panel.
02:24 All the tools are grouped under different headings.

02:38 Under the category Lines, I’ll click on the Segment tool to draw a line segment.

02:48 Now click two points in the Graphics view to draw segment AB.

03:17 Now I will show how to download GeoGebra on Windows 10 and Ubuntu Linux 16.04 OS.
03:25 Geogebra Classic 5 is the stable version of GeoGebra, while recording this tutorial.
03:32 To practise these tutorials, you can download any 5.x version of GeoGebra.
03:39 In Windows 10, open the GeoGebra homepage in the browser, as shown.
03:45 On the left of the panel, click on Apps Downloads.
03:50 Download GeoGebra Apps page opens.
03:54 Go to the section GeoGebra Classic 5 and click on the DOWNLOAD link.
04:01 A dialog box opens, prompting us to save the file.
04:05 Click on the Save File button to start downloading.
04:09 Downloading takes a few seconds depending on your internet speed.
04:14 Geogebra Windows installer file has downloaded to my Downloads folder.
04:20 Double-click on the installer file.

Click on the Yes button in the dialog box that appears.

04:27 GeoGebra Installer window opens.
04:31 It shows Welcome to the GeoGebra 5 Setup Wizard message.
04:37 In the language drop down, English is selected by default.
04:41 We will leave it as it is.
04:44 Click on Next button in this window.
04:47 In the License Agreement dialog box, click on I Agree button.
04:52 Click on Next button in this window.
04:55 In the Setup Type window, Standard radio button is selected by default.

We will leave it as it is.

05:04 Then click on Install button to start the installation process.
05:09 Installation takes a few seconds.
05:12 Completing the Geogebra 5 Setup Wizard message appears.
05:17 Now click on the Finish button.
05:20 GeoGebra interface opens.
05:23 The Sign in to GeoGebra option is not mandatory.

We can skip this and close the dialog box.

05:31 Next I will show how to install Geogebra Classic 5 in Ubuntu Linux 16.04 OS.
05:39 Open the GeoGebra homepage in the browser, as shown.
05:45 On the left of the page, click on Apps Downloads.
05:49 Download GeoGebra Apps page opens.
05:53 Go to the section GeoGebra Classic 5 and click on the DOWNLOAD link.
06:00 GeoGebra Classic 5 for Desktop page opens.
06:05 To download GeoGebra on Ubuntu Linux,

select Linux(deb) 64 bit / 32 bit installers for .deb based systems (Debian, Mint, Ubuntu)

06:18 You can click on 64 bit / 32 bit depending on your system’s configuration.
06:25 I will click on 64 bit.
06:28 A dialog box opens, prompting us to save the file.
06:32 Click on Save File radio button.
06:35 Then click on OK button to start the download.
06:39 Downloading takes a few seconds depending on your internet speed.
06:44 geogebra5.deb file downloads to the Downloads folder.
06:49 Right-click on the .deb file and select Open with Software install.
06:55 Ubuntu Software window opens.
06:58 In the window, click on the Install button.
07:02 Once the installation starts, Authenticate dialog-box opens.
07:07 Type the system password and click on Authenticate button at the bottom.
07:13 The installation takes a few seconds.
07:16 Once the installation is complete, you will see a Remove button.
07:21 Close the Ubuntu Software window.
07:24 Let us now open GeoGebra using Dash Home.
07:28 Click on Dash Home.

In the Search bar that appears type geogebra.

07:34 The GeoGebra icon appears.
07:37 Click on the icon to open GeoGebra interface.
07:42 Now we will learn about the benefits of GeoGebra.
07:46 GeoGebra is simple and flexible in all its features.
07:51 It allows to use the tools in 2D and 3D Graphics modes
07:56 GeoGebra helps to create worksheets and learning materials.
