A working internet connection.

00:54 To follow this tutorial, you should have knowledge of, high school Chemistry.
00:59 We need Java Runtime Environment to run Vlabs offline version.
01:05 To Install Java, please use the link shown below.
01:09 Let us begin.
01:11 Open your default web browser.

In the address bar type, http://chemcollective.org and press Enter.

01:23 ChemCollective page opens.
01:26 ChemCollective website has online resources for teaching and learning Chemistry.

06:31 In the page click on Download Offline Version.

Download the Virtual Lab page opens.

06:39 For Windows download, two versions are available.
06:42 First is for English and second is for International languages.

The available languages are listed here.

06:58 Scroll up to Windows section.

Click on Download Virtual Lab for Windows button.

07:05 A dialog box prompting to the save the file opens.
07:09 Select Save File radio button.

Click on OK button.

07:15 vlab.2.1.0 zip file downloads to Downloads folder.
07:22 Right-click on the vlab.2.1.0 zip file.

Select Extract All.

07:30 Extract Compressed(Zipped) Folders dialog box opens.
07:35 Click on Extract button at the bottom to extract its contents.
07:43 Double click on the extracted vlab2.1.0 folder.

You can see a list of files in the folder.

07:53 From the list of files double click on VLab.exe file.
07:59 Vlabs interface opens.
08:03 To download and run Vlabs on Ubuntu Linux OS,

Download the vlab.jar file from the link given below.

08:13 vlab.jar file is available in, Download virtual labs for windows and Download virtual labs for Mac.
08:22 Run Vlabs on Ubuntu Linux machines using one of the 2 methods given below.
08:28 Method 1: Right-click on vlab.jar file and Open With Open JDK java runtime.
08:36 Method 2 : Open the terminal and navigate to the vlab2.1.0 folder
08:43 At the prompt type, java space -jar space vlab.jar
08:50 If java is not installed properly, method 1 is not appropriate.
08:56 Use method 2, if method 1 fails.
09:00 To download Vlabs in Mac OSX, click on the Download Virtual Lab for Mac button.
09:08 Dialog box prompting to save file opens.
09:12 Select Save File radio button.

Then click OK button.

09:18 Save As dialog box opens.

Retain the default name of the file and click on Save button.

09:27 vlab.2.1.0.zip file downloads to Downloads folder.
09:33 Double-click on the Zip file to extract the folder vlab2.1.0.
09:40 Double-click on vlab2.1.0 folder to see its contents.
09:47 In the folder double-click on vlab.jar file.
09:52 A dialog box appears. In the box click on Open button.
09:59 Chemcollective Virtual labs interface opens.
