00:01 Hello and welcome to this overview spoken tutorial on Biogas.
00:08 In this tutorial, we will learn about the 'Biogas' spoken tutorial series and the content available in various tutorials in this series.
00:24 This series can be segregated into 3 different sections.
00:30 The first section explains: various benefits of using biogas for cooking
00:40 the generation of biogas using bio-waste, available in the house and farms the finance options available for the construction of a biogas plant.
00:56 The second section explains the construction of various parts of a biogas plant and is particularly useful for masons.
01:12 The third section explains: How biogas is actually generated The amount of bio-waste to be fed into the Biogas plant
01:26 Common troubleshooting information and Periodic repair and maintenance tasks to be done on the biogas plant.
01:39 There are many models of biogas plant such as- KVIC model, Janata model, Pragati model
01:51 Deenbandhu model, Ganesh model,
01:57 the floating drum plant made of prefabricated reinforced concrete compound units
02:07 and the floating drum plant made of fiberglass reinforced polyester.
02:16 In this series, we have followed the Deenbandhu model, to construct a 2 cubic metres biogas plant.
02:27 Now, we will briefly go through the individual tutorials in this series.
02:36 The very first tutorial in this series, explains what is biogas and the various benefits of using biogas.
02:50 Here is a glimpse of the tutorial.
02:59 The next tutorial will help us to understand how biogas is generated using household bio-waste, animal dung and toilet waste.
03:17 Let's have a look at this tutorial.
03:29 The next tutorial is an introduction to the various finance options available.
03:37 It will help us to know how: We can avail loan from private or government banks to build our Biogas plant and avail subsidy from the government, later.
03:56 Here is a glimpse of the tutorial.
04:07 This set of tutorials are a part of section 1 of the Biogas series.
04:18 The next tutorial will help us to know- the choice of land for the biogas plant,
04:26 the land dimensions and the materials required for the construction.
04:35 Let me play this tutorial.
04:47 The next tutorial will explain how to dig the pit and lay the foundation for the biogas plant.
05:00 Let’s have a look at this tutorial.
05:10 The next tutorial will explain how to construct the frame of the dome of the biogas plant with steel rods and chicken mesh.
05:24 Here is a glimpse of the tutorial.
05:36 The next tutorial will explain how to build the walls of the slurry tank.
05:44 Let me play this tutorial now.
05:58 In the next tutorial, we will learn how to construct the mixing tank.
06:06 Here is a glimpse of the tutorial.
06:21 In the next tutorial, we will learn how to assemble the biogas plant.
06:29 Let’s have a look at this tutorial.
06:42 This set of tutorials are part of section 2 of Biogas series and are particularly useful for the masons.
06:57 Now, we come to the next tutorial in this series - Maintenance and repair.
07:06 It will help us to know the various maintenance and repair activities related to the biogas plant.
07:18 Let me play this tutorial.
07:30 This tutorial is a part of section 3 of the Biogas series.
07:38 Section 2 and section 3 tutorials will be most useful for masons to learn how to construct the Biogas plant on their own
07:52 and also carry out routine maintenance on the Biogas plant.
08:00 They can refer to these tutorials many times and become experts in the construction of Biogas plants.
08:12 This series is also useful to those masons who want to start a biogas plant consulting agency.
08:23 Let us summarize. In this tutorial, we learnt about the overview of the Biogas plant series.
08:35 Please refer spokentutorial.org for the detailed tutorials on each topic mentioned above.
