|| Show Slide Number 3&lt;br /&gt;
OS and versions&lt;br /&gt;
|| Here we are using Ubuntu Linux 10.04 and LibreOffice Suite version 3.3.4.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| Double-click on ‘Sample-Impress.odt’ on the Desktop.&lt;br /&gt;
|| First let us open our presentation “Sample Impress” by double-clicking on it.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| &lt;br /&gt;
|| LibreOffice Impress has many view options that help you create a better presentation.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| Point to the Workspace.&lt;br /&gt;
|| By default when you start LibreOffice Impress, the it looks like this.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| Point to the tab “Normal”.w&lt;br /&gt;
|| This is called the Normal view.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| Point to the other tabs &amp;gt;&amp;gt; click on “Handouts” tab.&lt;br /&gt;
Point to the Normal tab but don’t click.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Click on View &amp;gt;&amp;gt; Normal.&lt;br /&gt;
|| When the presentation is in any other view, you can return to the normal view by clicking on the Normal tab&amp;lt;PAUSE&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Or by clicking on View and Normal.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

|| &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Click on the slide titled “Overview”.&lt;br /&gt;
|| In the normal view, you can create and edit slides.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
For example we can change the design of the slides.&lt;br /&gt;
To do this, go to the slide titled Overview.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| On the right side&amp;gt;&amp;gt; in the Tasks pane &amp;gt;&amp;gt; Master Pages section &amp;gt;&amp;gt; under Used in This Presentation &amp;gt;&amp;gt;point to the slide design prs strategy.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Under this &amp;gt;&amp;gt;point to Recently Used and Available for Use slide designs.  &lt;br /&gt;
|| On the right side, in the Tasks pane, Master Pages section, under Used in This Presentation, we can see the slide design is prs strategy.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Under this, we can see Recently Used and Available for Use slide designs.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

|| Click on any one.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Point to the slide design in the Workspace pane.&lt;br /&gt;
|| Click on any one of your choice.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Notice the change in the slide design in the Workspace pane.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
See, how easy it is to change the slide design?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You can also add designs that you have created as background for your slides.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

|| Click on View &amp;gt;&amp;gt; Point to Outline but don’t click.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Click on the Outline tab in the Workspace.&lt;br /&gt;
|| Next we will see the Outline view.&lt;br /&gt;
You can go to this view either by clicking on View and Outline &amp;lt;PAUSE&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
or by clicking on the Outline tab.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| In the Workspace&amp;gt;&amp;gt; Point to the thumbnails of the slides with numbers on the left.&lt;br /&gt;
|| In this view, you can see that the slides are arranged one below the other - just like a Table of Contents.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| Point to the slide headings which appear in bold or italics next to the thumbnails.&lt;br /&gt;
|| These here are the Slide Headings.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| Point to the slide heading Overview..&lt;br /&gt;
|| Notice that the slide heading Overview is highlighted.  This is because we were on the Overview slide when we selected the Outline tab.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

|| Point to the  icons shaped like bullet points.  &lt;br /&gt;
|| You can see these icons shaped like bullet points.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| Hover the mouse over the bullet point to the left of  “Explain the long-term course to follow”&lt;br /&gt;
|| When you hover the mouse over these bullet points, the cursor turns into a hand.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| Now drag the item one level up and release the mouse button.&lt;br /&gt;
|| We can then move these line items up or down in order to rearrange them within a slide &amp;lt;PAUSE&amp;gt; &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| Now drag the item one slide down to the slide “Long-term goal”  line item number1 and release the mouse button.&lt;br /&gt;
|| Or across slides.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| CTRL+Z till the presentation looks like the original.&lt;br /&gt;
|| Let us undo these changes by pressing CTRL and Z, so that our presentation appears in its original form.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

|| Point to the Slide Sorter view but don’t click.&lt;br /&gt;
|| We use the Slide Sorter view to rearrange slides.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

|| Click on View &amp;gt;&amp;gt; Point to Slide Sorter but don’t click.&lt;br /&gt;
Click on the Slide Sorter tab in the Workspace.&lt;br /&gt;
|| We can get to the Slide Sorter view by clicking on View and Slide Sorter &amp;lt;PAUSE&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
or by clicking on the Slide Sorter tab.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Click on slide number 10 &amp;gt;&amp;gt; drag the slide before slide number 9 &amp;gt;&amp;gt; release the mouse button.&lt;br /&gt;
|| This view is useful to sort the slides in the desired order.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
For example - To interchange slide number 9 and 10, click on slide number 10 and drag the slide before slide number 9.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Now release the mouse button.&amp;lt;PAUSE&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
The slides get interchanged!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

|| Point to the Notes view but don’t click.&lt;br /&gt;
|| In the Notes view, you can write notes that will help you during your presentation. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| Click on View &amp;gt;&amp;gt; Point to Notes but don’t click.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Click on the Notes tab in the Workspace.&lt;br /&gt;
|| To go to the Notes view, click on View and then Notes Page. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You can also click on the Notes tab.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
|-&lt;br /&gt;
|| Select the slide ‘Development up to present’ from the Slides pane.&lt;br /&gt;

|| In the notes portion, type ‘Remember to thank Mr. Mohan.’ &lt;br /&gt;
