|| Here we are using Ubuntu Linux version 10.04 and LibreOffice Suite version 3.3.4.

|Switch to Routemap drawing

||Let us open our Routemap drawing once again.

|Point to the Curves and Polygons in the drawing
||Previously, we learnt to draw curves and polygons.

Now let us learn how to edit them.

|Point to the School Campus shape in the drawing
||Let’s change the shape of the School Campus.

||We will use the Edit Points toolbar to do this.

|-
|Go to the Main menu >> Click View >> select Toolbars >> click Edit Points.
||From the Main menu, click View, select Toolbars, and click Edit Points.

|Point to the Edit Points toolbar.
||The Edit Points toolbar is displayed.

|-
|Select the polygon “School Campus”.
||Now, let us select the polygon “School Campus”.

|Click the “Points” icon on the Edit Points tool bar.
||Click the “Points” icon on the “Edit Points” tool bar.

|-
|Point the mouse to show that the green selection handles have changed to blue edit points.
||In the object, the green selection handles will change to blue edit points.

This indicates you are in the Edit point mode.

|On the Edit Points toolbar >> click on the Insert points icon.
||On the “Edit Points” toolbar, click on the “Insert points” icon.

|-
|Move to the Draw page.
You will see a plus sign for the cursor.
||Move to the Draw page.
The cursor will turn into a plus sign.

|Place this plus sign on the left side outline of the School Campus polygon.
||Place this plus sign on the left of the School Campus polygon.

|Press the left mouse button and drag right.
Release the button.
Ensure you just added a point and did not change the shape in any way.
||Press the left mouse button and drag it to the right.
Release the button.

You have inserted a point.

|Click on the point that was inserted.
||Now, click on the point that was inserted.

||The options in the “Edit Points” toolbar are enabled.

|-
|Go to Edit Points toolbar >> Symmetric Transition.
||Click on “Symmetric Transition”.

|Select the dotted control line.
||The dotted control line appears next to the point.

|-
|
Drag the control line to change the shape.
||Let’s drag the control line outwards to change the shape of the campus.

The shape has changed!

||To exit, from the Edit Points toolbar, click Points.

|Point to the campus.

Point to the top right corner point.
||Now let’s elongate the campus to the right side.

Let’s specifically move only the last point on the top right.

|Select the School Campus polygon.
||Select the School Campus polygon.

|From the Main menu >> select Edit >> click Points.
||Let’s enable the “Edit Points” toolbar.

|Point to the blue edit points that appear on the object.
||The blue edit points appear on the object.

|Select the point to the extreme right, the one on the top corner of the polygon.
||Let us select this point.

|From the Edit Points toolbar >> select Move points.
||On the Edit Points toolbar, click “Move points”.

|Use the mouse and point that the selected point becomes dark blue.
||You will see that the selected point becomes dark blue.

|Drag the point a little to the right.
||Now let’s drag the point to the right.

|-
|Point to the grid on the extreme right side.
||We can use the grid to position objects as per our requirement.

||We have changed the shape of the School Campus again!

|Group all the objects in the map.

Press Ctrl + A Key the keyboard and Right Click And select Group
||Lastly, let us group all the objects in the map.
 Press Ctrl + A Key on the keyboard and right-click for the Context menu.

Now select Group.

All the objects are grouped now.

add roads using lines,
add traffic signals
and any other detail you require.
