00:01 Hello everyone. Welcome to this tutorial on Installation of LibreOffice Suite.
00:07 In this tutorial, we will learn to install LibreOffice Suite in Windows OS.
00:13 To record this tutorial, I'm using:
  • Windows 7
  • Firefox web browser.

You can use any web browser of your choice.

00:25 Let us begin with the installation of LibreOffice Suite.
00:30 First, I will open Firefox web browser.
00:34 In the address bar, type: www.LibreOffice.org/download and press Enter.
00:46 We are immediately redirected to the Download page.
00:50 Here, you can see the Download button to download LibreOffice Suite.
00:55 By default, latest version for our OS is displayed here.
01:00 In my case, I’m recording on Windows OS. So it shows the latest version of LibreOffice for Windows.
01:10 But we can download this software as suitable for our OS version.
01:15 How can we change the OS for LibreOffice version? Just click on the link “change”, located just above the Download button.
01:24 We are redirected to another page. Here we can see the Download option for different OS ; select as per your need.
01:34 Here, we can also choose the version of LibreOffice Suite that we want to install.
01:40 I will choose Windows.
01:43 On doing this, we have once again redirected to the download page.
01:49 Note that the default version of LibreOffice and OS is now as per our selection.
01:55 Let us click on the Download button.
02:00 On doing so, a Save As dialog box opens.
02:04 Click on the Save button and the download will start. This may take some time, depending upon the internet speed.
02:12 When the downloading is complete, go to the Downloads folder. Now, double click on the LibreOffice setup file.
02:21 A dialog Box will open asking Do you want to run this file?

Click on the RUN button.

02:29 Now the installation wizard will open. Click on NEXT button whenever prompted.
02:36 Now it will ask whether you want a Typical or Custom Installation. By default, Typical will be selected. Click on NEXT.
02:46 Then click on Install button. The installation will take some time.
02:50 Once the installation is complete, click on Finish.
02:56 Let us now check whether LibreOffice is properly installed or not.
03:01 Go to Start menu → All programs and LibreOffice 4.4
03:08 You'll see various LibreOffice Suite components like- Base, Calc, Draw, Impress, and Writer.
03:17 This indicates that LibreOffice Suite is successfully installed on your Windows system.
